7 Days to Die does give the player the option to spawn any zombie at any time they desire from the debug menu. If you can’t wait to get killed or kill a zombie, then you can use the debug option to spawn any zombie directly right in front of you. Here in the guide, we will look at exactly how you can spawn a zombie in the 7 Days to Die.
Spawning A Zombie In 7 Ways to Die
You have to activate the debug menu and turn on the debug option first to spawn zombies in the game.
Launch Debug Menu

Open your debug menu by pressing F1 (default button), type DM
- When you press the debug button (F1) in the game, a small prompt will appear on the top of the screen. It will have the appearance of a CMD prompt, you don’t have to type in any large code, just type in DM to turn on the Debug menu.
- Enabling the Debug menu will add features to your game that were hidden before. Now if you press Esc, you will see additional options on the right panel of your HUD.
Note: If pressing F1 doesn’t activate the debug menu, then you need to go over to the Control section. Here head to the top of the prompt and you will see the option for Console right above the Player section. If Console: F3, then you can press F3 to open the debug menu.
Spawn Zombies/ Zombie Rate

Now hit F6 to open the Spawn Menu
- Now press the F6 button to see the spawn options. Here you can spawn any zombie in your game.
- You will also have the option to set a number of spawns for the zombies. If you are looking to fill the area with nothing but zombies, then just under the Look At You option on the top left of the menu, set the Spawn amount to 30 or 50.
If you have a specific zombie in your mind, then type in Zombie in the Search Box on the top left. After a few seconds, the list will be filled with all the zombies you can summon in the game.
