God of War Ragnarok offers a wide range of gears, but sometimes they might not offer great stats. This is where Transmogrification (hereon referred to as Transmog) comes to the rescue. This feature allows you to retain the statistics and perks of your favourite gear, but change its appearance as per your preference. This guide will tell you how you can use the best gear stats and customize Kratos to look cooler.
Steps To Transmog Armor In God Of War Ragnarok
To access the Transmog feature, you need to have a fully upgraded (Level 9) gear. Here are the detailed steps that you need to follow:
- Upgrade your item to its maximum capacity. This can be done only after collecting items throughout the game’s run. Once Kratos has enough Hacksilver and other resources required to upgrade his gear, he can visit the Dwarven shops spread around different realms and ask Sindri or Brok to use their talent to level up the item.
- Once the gear is upgraded to its maximum level, you will get a notification saying that the Transmog feature is available and can be used. You will have to click Edit Appearance option.
- Once the Transmog menu opens, you can choose from the list of unlocked Armors. Note that you also have alternate colour palettes of the same Armor after upgrading it in the Dwarven shops. You can use the left-click and right-click on your mouse (L1 and R1 for PlayStation) to check out the various options.
- Once you select the gear that you want to Transmog, press and hold the Square button to apply it.
- If you want to undo the changes and go back to your original look, you can do so by pressing the Triangle button (for PlayStation).
It must be noted that you will have access to the Transmog feature towards the end of God of War Ragnarok as it requires you to level up that item to Level 9. While upgrading the Waist and Wrist Armor is relatively easy, it takes a lot of resources to upgrade the Chest Armor.
