Clive Barker’s Hellraiser Revival: Endings Explained (Zora or Deepthroat?)

If you’ve had the resolve and firepower to take down Marlowe in Hellraiser Revival’s final boss battle, then you’re fast approaching the credits of this survival horror epic. However, before you roll credits, you’ll have one final choice to deal with. Spoilers ahead.

After Sunny drops a bombshell and reveals that, the entire time, she has been using you as a pawn to make a deal with Pinhead and become a Cenobite in return for enduring the rebirthing process. You’re left to choose what is next for Aiden.

Sunny and the others walk into a deeper realm of suffering, an ascension as Pinhead calls it. But because you have proven yourself worthy, you’re given the choice of following the Cenobites into their world for good. Here’s what happens depending on how you act

    Stay With Zora

Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival: Endings Explained

If you choose to stay in the real world by simply not following Deepthroat and allowing the walls to close. You will find yourself back in your apartment, and Zora will offer you a cigarette. You’ll still have no arm, and you’ll still be branded and disfigured from the ordeals you suffered, but you’ll be free from the Labyrinth for good.

Zora then asks Aiden if he is truly up for changing his life, and as she asks, the sunlight bursts through the window, and she disappears, presumably returning to the Labyrinth to play babysitter for the Genesis Configuration once more.

As the scene fades out, Aiden seems confident that he can start again and make something of his life.

    Embrace The Labyrinth

Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival: Endings Explained

To choose Deepthroat, you simply need to walk towards her and through the closing gap in the wall. If you do, she assures you that you’ll get everything you desire. Pleasure and pain in equal measure, and highs beyond anything the real world could offer. Then, to cement that idea, she kisses Aiden before biting his tongue and ripping it from his mouth.

She then steps through the barrier to the void, and Aiden follows. Only to be immediately latched to hooks in his cheeks, where he is subjected to yet more flashbacks of Sunny.

In that moment, you can see the humanity and the light leave his eyes, as his eyes go entirely black, completing his transition, as Aiden becomes a Cenobite.

Can You Do Both Without A Second Playthrough?

    Zora or Deepthroat Hellraiser

If you want to see both of these endings for yourself, don’t panic, as the game autosaves right at the point when the wall of Aiden’s apartment starts closing in. So you won’t need to fight Marlowe again, or race through the Labyrinth to get back to Sunny. You can see how both endings play out by reloading your save, earning both achievements tied to endings in the process.

Callum has been around the block within the gaming industry, working as an Editor-in-chief for a number of well-respected gaming outlets; he has worked as a games tester, he has gaming podcast experience, and he has worked in gaming PR. Basically, you name it, and Callum was probably there or somewhere on the periphery. Outside of gaming, Callum loves skateboarding despite his immediate family telling him to grow up, and he is also known to watch the British sitcom Peep Show on repeat and will go toe-to-toe with anyone on Peep Show trivia.
