The world in Once Human is riddled with tons of fun activities. Players will find plenty to keep them occupied, whether they want to play through the main campaign, build a cool base from the ground up, or complete the hundreds of side-quests available in the game.

A Family Legacy is one of the most interesting side quests that you might stumble into. There’s no specific quest giver, and the quest just pops up once you get to a certain location. That means you might miss out on it unless you go to the right location. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the steps to complete the Family Legacy quest in Once Human.

How To Start A Family Legacy Quest In Once Human

To start A Family Legacy quest in Once Human, players must first reach a small town located in Red Sands called Evergreen. It’s located south of the Blackfell. You’ll see a small house once you get to the spot. The exact coordinates are 4491, -2272.

Once you get near the house, the quest simply pops up.

How to Complete A Family Legacy Quest in Once Human

A Family Legacy is a multi-step quest. The first step involves finding a treasure map, and the second step involves hunting down the treasure.

How to Find the Treasure Map

For the first step, you’ll need to find a treasure map. Once you get to the house and run inside, your first objective will be to ‘Check Mae’s Diary in the House.’ Follow your map market to find the diary sitting on top of a countertop inside the house.

Reading the diary, you’ll find one part of a password (U9D). The diary says there are two more digits that Mae apparently can’t recall.

Now, look around the house, and you’ll see a couple of toy bricks inside a room. You’ll have to rearrange the toy bricks to move on to the next step of the quest.

Move the toy bricks around until it reads U, 6, and D. Even though the note says 9, it is, in fact, an upside-down 6. Luckily, you won’t have to touch the final two bricks at all.

Once you’ve set up the toy bricks, Mae’s Lockbox will appear in one corner of the room. Open it, and you’ll find the Rosetta Researcher’s Map.

    How to Find the Treasure

The Treasure Map found in Mae’s Lockbox refers to a location in the Alternate Reality Research Institute. So, for this next step, you’ll need to travel to that location in the Red Sands Region.

Now, this is a pretty high-level zone, and there’ll be plenty of enemies shooting at you. So we recommend farming up and making sure your character is strong enough before you attempt to hunt down the treasure.

You’ll need to enter the main building and make your way up the different floors. After a while, you’ll run into a black elevator with the label Rosetta. Take the left staircase from here to reach a lab.  Head to the far right corner of the lab, and you’ll find the Rosetta Safe. Loot it, and the quest will be completed.

A Family Legacy Quest Rewards in Once Human

A Family Legacy is a challenging quest, but finishing it gives you some nice rewards. Here are the things you’ll get:

    • 1800x Energy Link
    • 4800x Exp
    • 15x Stellar Planula
    • 1x Eclipse Cortex Lv.3

We recommend at least being level 30 before you attempt to take on this mission. Feel free to check out our other guides on the game, including Frost Vortex Build Guide and Polluted Areas Map.
