The Airburst Rocket Launcher can be purchased from the Ship Management console for 8000 Requisition slips. The weapon fits into the support weapon slot and fires one rocket at a time that then breaks up into several small cluster bombs that do damage across a wide area.
We found the Airburst Rocket Launcher to be a good bet against enemies with light and medium armour; and not so effective when required to be used against heavy armoured enemies. The weapon also does not work best for Automatons or Automaton Fabricators. The other thing to keep in mind is distance – this works best at medium to long range to best avoid getting damaged from the AOE effect that the cluster bombs have.

The Airburst Rocket Launcher is great for one-shotting Terminid nests but does not do that great against heavily armored enemies. Considering the other options available for the slot that it takes up, we would still go with the Eagle Cluster Bomb in place of the Airburst Rocket Launcher
