Tricera are referred to as a broken striker in the Mecha Break, as they can be very difficult to take down; the enemy must resort to a team-based gameplay tactic to take down a Tricera. The abilities and the offensive weapons do help Tricera to stay longer on the battlefield and soak in plenty of damage. Here is a guide to make use of Tricera in Mecha Break.
Tricera Overview

Tricera allows you to become a tank, and the game gives you the option to repair in the middle of the battlefield. Both of Tricera’s guns deal a heavy amount of damage, but the highlight of the Tricera is its Fortress Form ability.
Primary Weapon: Gatling Gun
Drop a massive load of armor-piercing bullets straight from the Gatling gun, and you will also deal ballistic damage with the gun. A perfect way to deal with long-distance enemies.
Sidearm: Heavy Gatling Gun
A much better version of the Primary Gatling Gun, as it packs more Armor-piercing rounds with high ballistic damage.
After depleting the ammo, both guns will reload automatically, and you also have the option to manually reload while firing. You will get more ammo on the Primary Gatling Gun compared to the Heavy Gatling Gun. But you will do more damage to the Heavy Gatling Gun than the Primary Gatling Gun.
Fortress Form:

Effect: Jack of all trades, it has plenty of moves to make your Tricera a force to reckon with on the battlefield.
- This ability allows you to cancel Stagger and actively reinforce Complex Shield. While the shield doesn’t last long, it will block out most of the damage from all sides (360-degree coverage).
- If you do take a massive amount of damage instantly on your complex shield, it will become momentarily invincible, raising its overall defensive capabilities. The shield here only regenerates after you exit the Fortress Form.
- When you activate the Fortress Form, it also matters; strategically activating this ability will allow you to execute the parry maneuver.
- Activating the Fortress Form makes you stationary in one spot, which can make up for an excellent decoy option to draw lock-ons from enemies.
- The ability also releases escort drones to intercept incoming missiles. While the drones consume charges when they intercept missiles, the charge automatically refills.
Repair Drone:
Effect: Heal Tricera by releasing Repair Drones.
You can activate the Repair Drone only in the Fortress Form; the Repair Drone will repair your unit along with the allies near you. If you don’t have healers or if they are refusing to heal you, you can just pull out the Repair Drones and do the job by yourself.
Howitzer:
Effect: Howitzer launches grenades, dealing explosive damage.
Dealing damage with a Howitzer leaves the enemy in a staggered and knockback state. The best part about the Howitzer is the sheer amount of damage, a single shot can carry out 20,000 damage to the enemy. You can see why it will become a deal breaker in the game.
Tips to play as Tricera
- You can fire both the Gatling Gun and the Heavy Gatling Gun at the same time. Both guns can be used to intercept any incoming missiles (no locked-on target).
- You can also use the Fortress Form activation to counter any incoming melee attacks, adding a Stagger effect on the enemies.
- You can play offensively with Tricera, as its Fortress Form will help you soak up a lot of damage without letting you enter the dying state.
- Avoid engaging with the entire enemy team, picking random one or two enemies can easily be handled with Tricera, anything above more is a call of danger.
- Tricera Fortress Mode blocks all damage from 360 angle, but it does leave out two weak spots, one over Tricera’s head and the other at the bottom. Enemies who are familiar with the Tricera will go after its weak spots.
- Fortress Mode can also help the allies, as enemy lock-ons will get targeted at the Tricera instead of the allies.
