LEGO Fortnite Expeditions introduces a co-op experience with multiple classes and weapons! Players can choose from up to 3 classes and 3 different weapons tailored to their playstyle. Whether you’re a swift killer that shows no mercy or the type to wreak havoc wherever you go, this article breaks down every class and weapon you’ll need to dominate the battlefield and lead your squad to victory!
Classes
There are 3 Classes in LEGO Fortnite Expeditions. Namely, The Hunter, Shadow Caller and Rift Ripper. These classes act as your ‘build’, some favouring agility, while others are for the heavy-hitters. You can always change your class from the ‘Class Terminal’ at the base. There is also a huge training ground with bots for you to test out each of the classes’ abilities.
#1 Class – The Hunter

This class is reminiscent of the superhero ‘Green Arrow’. Outplay the opponents using grapples, traps, and other abilities like:
- Bull’s-Eye (Passive): Marks a single target to close the distance and increase accuracy and damage aimed their way
- Trap Dodge: Drop a trap while dodging
- Bull’s-Eye Blade: Throw a blade to inflict an enemy with Bull’s-Eye
- Grappler: Allows you to launch yourself. Useful when you’re cornered by many enemies.
- Frenzied Hunt (Ultimate): Marks and damages nearby enemies while boosting your speed.
#2 Class – Shadow Caller

As the name suggests, the Shadow Caller is a support role that can harm enemies and heal allies alike. This class consists of these abilities:
- Dark Energy (Passive): Damaging enemies generates energy to fuel Arcane Flight
- Arcane Flight: With enough energy, double tap jump to fly while consuming energy. Command Shadow to harm enemies and heal allies
- Command Shadow: Command Shadow while in Arcane Flight to harm enemies and heal allies
- Dark Flurry: Unleash a stream of shadows on enemies to rapidly generate energy or aim at allies to heal
- Shadow Form: Transform into an invulnerable, flying shadow
- One With the Shadows (Ultimate): Restores energy and enters an enhanced Arcane Flight. Launch Shadow Bombs to harm enemies and heal allies
#3 Class – Rift Ripper

This class thrives on being close to rifts, which enhances our abilities while making defeating enemies easier. The abilities are:
- Rift Empowerment (Passive): Being near the Rift Crystals fuels your superpowers, making you stronger and tougher
- Rift Jump: Double Jump
- Rift Dodge: Dodge through the Rift to flee danger or close the distance with your enemies.
- Rift Shards: Hurl shards, damaging enemies.
- Rift Crystal: Summon a Rift Crystal to immediately damage enemies and enhance your powers while it lasts
- Get Ripped (Ultimate): Become Rift Empowered without a Crystal by triggering a Rift Blast that also damages enemies around you
Weapons

Before you dive into a mission, it’s important to have a loadout that complements your playstyle. For example, the Dual Daggers are an ideal choice if you’re playing Shadow Caller or Rift Ripper, as they’re both agility-based classes, so paired with the ‘Dashing Strike’, it can be a lethal combo! The weapons, along with gadgets for upgrades, can be bought from a vendor in the Supernova Academy.
The weapons in LEGO Fortnite Expeditions include Dual Daggers, War Hammer and Plasma Pistols.
- If you’ve always fancied ninjas or a stealthy look, get yourself some Dual Daggers. Its moves include the ‘Dashing Strike’, which can be charged for 4 seconds to unleash fury on your opponents. The daggers also have ‘Spiral Cuts’, which can be used to deal with multiple enemies at once.
- For heavy hitters, you can’t go wrong with the War Hammer. Charge up your ‘Ham-Stand’ and ‘Ground Slam’ to deal a huge blow to 10 enemies, and can also be used to evade attacks!
- Now, for the shooters of the gaming population, we have the Plasma Pistols. You can hip-fire or aim down sights if you’re trying to headshot your targets! The Plasma Pistols have an attack called ‘Sprint Spin’, which allows you to shoot your gun while continuously spinning, making it very useful if you’re ever surrounded.
To be more of a threat on the battlefield, equip up to 3 gadgets, which can be found during missions or purchased from vendors.
Base & Missions

Your base is your sanctuary, allowing you to switch classes, practice your abilities, and interact with vendors to buy weapons/gadgets. When you open the map, it’ll show the locations for the vendors, mission terminal and class terminal. There is also a huge practice arena in the middle for you to test out the different abilities of each of the classes before you enter the battlefield.
Along with many more maps to be launched, the maps for different missions right now include:
- Utopia City
- Spire Excavation Site
- Busted Bridge
The vendors are scattered across the base, which can be spotted using the ‘Sword’ icon on the map. These are all weapon vendors that are available for purchasing weapons or gadgets.
The bots in the training arena also show you how much damage you’re dealing with each weapon/ability. The mission terminal shows the mission description, the map, as well as the difficulty of the mission, so you know what you’re getting yourself into!
