You get to indulge in some additional passives each time you get to build a totem shrine at your party camp in Avowed. For each totem shrine you build, you need to collect the related totem pieces to complete the shrine. With each region, you can collect a handful of totems, and you can locate a couple of them in Shatterscarp too. This guide will cover how to complete the Wael’s Totem note and locate all the Totem Fragments in Avowed.
Totem Of Revelations Quest Guide In Avowed
First off, you can collect the map from a merchant that will give you the clues to locate all the totem fragments, or you can automatically unlock the Totem of Revelations quest upon finding your first totem by chance. To purchase the Wael’s Totem map, visit the Dead Swordfish bar located in Thirborn. Speak to Cinzia to purchase the Fragments of the Eyes item. These form all the pieces for the Wael Totem:
Let’s look at these one by one.
Eyes Of The Obscured Location
Next, you need to collect the totem base where you get to place all your totem fragments. Head over to the Shrine to Wael, on the southwest section of the map. The path towards collecting the Eyes of the Obscured is quite linear, so you will not have a hard time getting it.
Ruby Eye Location
The first totem fragment can be picked up within the Shrine to Wael itself, so don’t exit the shrine just yet. Rather, keep heading up the left side path after you turn away from the totem core. You will spot the Ward of the Eye standing on the cliffs above. Make your way over there and speak to her to collect the Ruby Eye.
Sapphire Eye Location
For this totem fragment, head over to Sand Sea Oasis beacon at the Great Sand Sea, Shatterscarp. This location is towards the southeast, or east from Thirdborn. There is a large body of water near the beacon, dive into it and make your way underwater to find Sapphire Eye resting on the rocks.
Amethyst Eye Location
The next location you need to go to is in the Ancient Lakebed and head west of the Ancient Lakebed South Beacon. Right in the middle of the area will be a rock formation surrounded by water. From there, head north and make your way to the marked location above to find the Amethyst Eye on top of the rocks.
Topaz Eye Location
For this one, make your way down to Deadfall Highlands, southeast of Leviathan’s Hollow. You will come across a large skeleton structure of some creature out in the open, and you can also get to this spot if you are doing the First Contact with the Enemy quest.
Make your way up the rocks beside the skeleton head and up towards the hole in the mountain. Once inside, jump down towards the water and cross the water to find a wooden platform on the left. Get up the platforms till you find a flight of stairs going up, follow them and you will spot another flight of stairs going down on your left. You will soon reach a room with the Topaz Eye on the pedestal.
Emerald Eye Location
Make your way to Shark’s Teeth party camp on the eastern section of the map and follow the path slightly southeast. You will come across a large stone statue, climb up the statue by using the support of the platforms and ladder around it to reach the top of the statue. Collect the Emerald Eye from the top.
Agate Eye Location
You can find this one in Sand Sea Ruins, and you might get here if you have picked up the Heart of Valor quest. Enter the large building here and make your way to the middle floor, where you can find an archway with glowing yellow light emitting from it. You will spot the Agate Eye on the table within the passage.
Wael’s Totem Rewards
After placing all the totem fragments on the totem base, you can get the following boosts.
- Fickle Winds: While dealing Critical Hits, enemies get random accumulation.
- Magic in the Blood: You get a small amount of health during essence regeneration.
- Enigmatic Shield: Applying a Level 15 or 20 ability will grant +5% damage reduction, lasting 10 seconds.
- Disappearing Trick: Can cast Shadowing Beyond during Second Wind.
- Sight Beyond Eyes: +5% increase in Critical Hit Chance
- The Obscured Vantage: +2 Intellect, +2 Perception
