With Episode Heresy here in Destiny 2, you get to experience the third episode of the Final Shape saga. Act 1 brought out several new secret locations and new challenges to tackle, and with it, some new and extraordinary weapons like The Lodestar is an Exotic Trace Rifle. This guide will cover what works with the Lodestar in Destiny 2.
Best Lodestar God Roll In Destiny 2

The Lodestar is a standalone weapon that works well on its own, but you will require some catalysts or perks to make it more stable and also offer more in terms of stats. The below God Roll is versatile to use in both PvP and PvE, and with some additional features, you can turn this into the toughest weapon you ever own.
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Battery: Phase Converter
- Basic Trait: Arc Alignment
- Stock: Composite Stock
- Catalyst: Loadstar Catalyst
- Intrinsic: Starlight Beam
Why This God Roll Works

As mentioned previously, the Lodestar does pretty well on its own without the use of additional attachments. But for the sake of amplifying some of its features, we are going to add some basic attachments. The Fluted Barrel for the Lodestar can give a whopping +15 Handling and an increase in Stability by +5. It is a light weight barrel, perfect for countering the weight of the Lodestar. You can further increase Handling and Stability by +5 by using the Composite Stock.
The Phase Converter battery further increases stability by +5, but also amplifies range by +5 and reload speed by +10. With this battery, while using ADS, any target that is affected by an Arc debuff will receive short, high intensity beams. This can cause them to detonate from the increased damage of final blows. Next, we move onto the Arc Alignment basic trait, which works well with the Starlight Beam intrinsic. The trait aligns the battery’s coils, and when fully charged, it can shoot Starlight Beam that will also deal Jolt while shot at hip fire.

The Starlight Beam intrinsic itself is what makes the Lodestar run. This helps the Lodestar fire Arc beams and deal Arc damage to all enemies it hits, but it is pretty low intensity without the right traits and catalyst. As for the Lodestar Catalyst, you can get it through a simple glitch where you need to find the previous session’s catalyst listed on the Bungie website’s seasonal track and claim it. If you have already claimed them, then you need to wait for Episode Heresy Act 2 and get it from the seasonal pass. But once acquired, it can upgrade the Lodestar to Masterwork, which can increase its effectiveness and grant the weapon additional perks.
How To Get The Lodestar In Destiny 2

The only way to get the Lodestar is to keep unlocking all the levels to the Heresy’s seasonal pass. You can get this weapon for free once you reach Rank 40 on the Heresy seasonal pass, or immediately if you had purchased the pass with money. After Episode Heresy is done in Destiny 2, players can then purchase the Lodestar from the Monument to the Lost Lights located in The Tower if they haven’t claimed it already.
Destiny 2 always brings out some unique weapons that can be enhanced with the right God Rolls. We have some of the earlier released weapon God Roll guides like for the Stay Frosty and Slayer’s Fang that you can check out.
