These quests will help you rebuild your settlement from scratch by learning how to forge, scavenge, and build. Very early in the game, you can pick up the Unleash the Hunter Within quest, which will teach you how to hunt, fish, and defeat Withered. How To Start Unleash The Hunter Within Quest In Towers of Aghasba
Find and talk to Hoa to start the Unleash the Hunter Within quest. Below are the objectives you need to clear for this quest.

Now that you have started the quest, you need to complete all the objectives to learn more about the game mechanics and also collect your starting weapons.
Observe 3 Creatures With Shimuscope
Press R3 on the controller (M3 in case of keyboard + mouse) to bring up the Shimuscope and point it at the creature. You would have obtained Shimuscope from Pawel at the end of the Sowing the Seed quest. You will see a circle onscreen that gets smaller and sharper till the observation is considered complete. Return to Hoa to get your three starting weapons; the bow, spear, and arrow. She will also tell you that if a weapon happens to break, you can head over to the Crafting Menu to repair it.
Hunt Two Fish & Two Skirtau
With the new weapons in your inventory, place them in the radial wheel for easy access. Make your way to the lake nearby and equip your spear to start hunting fish. Pay attention to the fish swimming near the reeds underwater, then aim your spear at the fish and fire to throw the spear. If you are successful, the fish and your spear will float up. If you fail, you lose your spear and would have to use another weapon like your bow for the time being.
Your next target is the Skirtau. You can find Skirtau running around the grassy plains of any temperate area. You can lure them using berries, then use your spear or bow and arrow for an easy kill. You will know you have killed your target when the crosshairs turn red. For the Skirtau, they might run away after the initial hit, so you need to chase after them and shoot at them again to kill them. Hunt both these animals twice then return to Hoa to get the next objective.
Note: Killing or destroying anything within the ecosystem will cause damage to your character and you will lose Amity. Be sure that your health is high and you have healing consumables on you before you venture out on a hunt.
Defeat The Withered
Your next task is to destroy one Withered Nest and three Withered Razilith, and this will help you learn the ropes of combat. You can find the two withered items nearby, just use the weapons you have to aim and hit or shoot. Be careful, as the Withered Razilith will fight back. You can avoid most attacks by running or dodging out of the way.
Also, some Nests will grow roots that make it impossible to kill them. Destroy the roots first to get to the core of the nest. Destroying the Withered Nest will restore some of your lost Amity, so find and kill as many as you can.
Return to Hoa one last time to complete the Unleash the Hunter Within quest in Towers of Aghasba. For all your trouble, she will hand over a new chest piece, an uncommon Thatchvest Tunic.
