Bleach Rebirth of Souls offers tons of complex combat mechanics to master as you try to get past all the enemies. Each character offers unique skill sets, and playing as Ichigo Kurosaki comes with a set of combat mechanics that can be a bit difficult to master. With all different playable versions, you can unlock new skillsets and new combos. Once you reach Soul Society, you can play as a unique version of Ichigo, and this guide will detail how to play as Soul Society Ichigo in Bleach Rebirth of Souls.
How to Play Soul Society Ichigo in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls
Once you reach THE Soul Society arc of Bleach Rebirth of Souls, you can fight with Ichigo’s base form against Byakuya Kuchiki. Ichigo Kurosaki here has a 5 star control level, making it an easy character to learn. Below are some of his movesets that you need to learn to master him.
3 Hit Combo + Block

You can utilize his combo attacks to quickly jab your opponent and continue on. His combo attacks involve simple 3 hits that can be manipulated when rushing forward or heading sideways. The only thing you need to keep an eye out for while performing combos is that there will be a slight opening after the combo ends, but blocking your opponent right after will keep you in a safe spot. So, first perform your 3-hit combo, and quickly follow that up with a block.
Heavy Attacks
Heavy Attacks deal a lot more damage, but are slower than regular attacks. You can combo and block while using the Heavy Attacks too, the same way as you would with a normal combo and block. This attack follows the same pattern as a normal attack, so you can alternate and use them depending on how much damage you wish to deal.
Signature Moves
We now come down to Ichigo’s signature move, the Charged Slash. With a Charged Slash, Ichigo will take a moment to power up, then dash forward to slash at the enemy. It is a bit slow to implement, but it is quite powerful once the attack is dealt with. You can also hold down the Charged Slash button to implement a longer charge.
Special Flash Attack
Coming to Special Flash Attacks next, you can deal the Rush Attack. For this move, you dash forward first, then deal damage in close proximity. Hitting the attack button will create follow-up attacks, making it a long chain combo. Your attack recovery here is pretty good, and you can quickly do follow-up attacks in close succession as soon as possible. You can compile this attack with normal attacks, heavy attacks, or blocks to continue the combo streak.
Awakening Mode

The attack patterns here are pretty much the same, but Ichigo will offer more damage output and will be faster overall. His recovery from blocking will also improve, giving you faster recovery time. His Signature Move here is pretty unique, as you can teleport to your opponent when you hit the attack key, after which Ichigo will deal one heavy slash attack. Holding down the attack key will increase the amount of attacks to two after being teleported towards the opponent. Ichigo’s final moveset is dealing combos with 2 slashes and can be combined with other attacks as well.
Spiritual Pressure
Rapid Slash here deals a unique attack pattern, where Ichigo will deal an upper cut using his sword. The opponent will be launched into the air, and you can deal more combo follow-up attacks after they hit the ground.
Ultimate Attacks
There are two ultimate attacks for Ichigo. You can activate the base Ultimate attack as usual, or you can wait for the Reverse Gauge at the bottom to be full. Next, activate the gauge to get Ichigo with half a Hollow Mask. Upon activation, you can view a unique cutscene with new dialog during the fight sequence.
Fighting opponents using Soul Society Ichigo might be too easy to do, but his attacks can still pack a punch if used correctly. You can check out our other Bleach Rebirth of Souls guides like how to counter, how to create combos, and how to reawaken in the game.
