Skills & Support Gems For Minion Summoner Witch Build
If you are starting a game and got lost in understanding the Skill Gem system, we have a fantastic guide to catch you up with every little detail about Skill Gems. The focus here will land on creating minions that will take care of the battle without us dirtying our hands too much in the combat.
We have listed out the Support Gems that go well together with the Skill Gem for the Minion Summoner Witch build.
- Skeletal Snipers: Heavily focus on single-target damage.
- Support Gem: Envenom, Corrosion.
Envenom will poison the enemies, and adding Corrosion to the mix will break the armor apart.
- Contagion: Damage over time.
- Support Gem: Persistence, Magnified Effect
Persistence allows for the DOT (Damage Over Time) to last for a long time and Magnified Effect makes the AOE effect larger, to a higher scale.
- Essence Drain: Another damage-over-time skill perfect for large bosses, and you can stack it with Contagion.
- Raise Zombie: Create more minions for your warriors.
- Support Gem: Minion Instability
Minion Instability allows for the minions to explode once they reach the end of their life.
Great Alternatives
Here is the list of some good alternatives for the Minion Summoner Witch build.

Passive Skill Tree For Minion Summoner Witch Build
Focusing on Spell-Minion Damage and Health should be the proper way forward for the build.
Spell and Minion Damage should take priority above anything else. This will put the build into a more stable state for the early game and will work wonderfully in the late game.
- Go north of the skill tree and start investing in Spell and Minion Damage until you hit Raw Destruction.
- We will recommend you choose minion damage dealings. Later grab Gravedigger to make the minions revive faster, and then later you can grab Restless Dead, a better version of Gravedigger.
On the other side, focus on the Energy Shield, to increase it by 15%. Here you should also focus on the Minion Life increase. We want the minions to last longer in the battle, giving a boost to their life will help them survive longer and take more hits from the enemies.
Ascendancy Details For Minion Summoner Witch Build
Flame Ascendancy:
Summoning Infernal Hell Hounds gives much-needed power to the minion assembly. If you are putting points in Minion Duration and Damage, then we will recommend you choose Flame Ascendancy. Having a group of minions with Infernal hell Hournds will not only look good but at the same time deal a devastating amount of damage on the battlefield.
If you haven’t unlocked Ascendacy for your character yet, we have a guide to help you figure out Ascendancy for your character.
Gear Details For Minion Summoner Witch Build
Spirit and Energy Shield should be your main focus when you are hunting for gear for the Minion Summoner build. Then head over to crafting once you have the perfect gear, and upgrade it to add more affixes.
- Spirit: Hunt for any gear with Spirit level set to 100. Why? More Spirit will result in more minions spawning in the game. When you are hunting for any gear, if it has Spirit listed on its details, then it is useful for the build.
- Weapon: Choose a ranged weapon for a perfect play since most of the damage would come from the minions. Look for a Sceptre that has the Skeletal Warrior skills.
- Armors: Here the main focus should stay on Energy Shield. Prioritize Energy Shield over anything, if you are lucky, you might get Armor with Energy Shield + Spirit boost.
- Accessories: When it comes to accessories, here you should prioritize the following perks:
- Max Mana
- Max Life
- + Intelligence Attribute Bonus
- Life Regen per sec
- Increase Cast Speed
Skill Rotation Details For Minion Summoner Witch Build
Skeletal Snipers > Skeletal Warriors> Contagion> Essence Drain > Raise Zombie
Summon all the minions from a distance, then hit Contagion to apply the damage over time effect to any enemies nearby. Apply Essence Drain next to make the Contagion effect worse for the enemies. Here they will take additional damage over time on top of the ongoing effect of Contagion. Use the defeated enemies as corpses to your already overpowered horde by using Raise Zombie. For the last skill, you can think about replacing it with Unearth.
Raise Zombie is the best way to keep your minions safe, as they will distract the enemies, keeping the Skeletal Snipers and Warriors safe. Unearth also does something similar, but better: it will summon Skeletal Warriors and Scorpion corpses. Another great skill we will highlight here is the Bone Cage, as it will trap the enemies inside a cage, which is the best way to keep the enemy off-distance and attack them at range.
