Both Skeleton Key and the Ring of Khajiiti require the completion of two different quests to obtain them. In terms of challenge, obtaining a Khajiiti Ring could give you some trouble compared to the Skeleton Key. Here in this guide, we will look into the ways you can obtain the Ring of Khajiiti and the Skeleton Key in Oblivion Remastered.
How To Obtain The Skeleton Key In Oblivion Remastered

Effect: Lockpick any lock in the game, and the Skeleton Key will do it without breaking apart.
Objective: You must find Eye of Nocturnal to obtain the Skeleton Key.
- Head over to Nocturnal Shrine, located north of Leyawiin in the Blackwood area. Cross the bridge and you will find the altar with some candles burning under it. Interact with the Shrine of Nocturnal to begin the quest.
- Now, our next objective is to get to the Tidewater Cave located south of Leyawiin, near the water. Get inside the cave, and you will face many bears and rats. But our goal is to retrieve the Eye of Nocturnal.
- Inside the cave, always head to your left, and you will quickly find yourself at the dark end of the cave with water at the bottom. Here, take a deep dive into the water, go through the hole underwater, and you will find the Eye of Nocturnal on your right, floating in the water, directly above the treasure chest buried in the ground.
Now with the Eye of Nocturnal in your possession, go back to the Nocturnal Shrine, interact with the altar, and you will receive the Skeleton Key as a reward for completing the quest.
Ring of Khajiiti Guide

You must reach Level 10 before starting the quest.
- Head to Meridia’s Shrine, located west of Skingrad in the heartland. Here you will find a giant statue that acts as an altar in the location. It will be surrounded by worshippers. You can interact with the altar to donate specific items in the game: Ectoplasm or Bonemeal.
Note: If you are in short supply of either of the ingredients mentioned above, you need to go to the Imperial City Market District, look for the Mystic Emporium shop, talk to the Aurelinwae, and buy Bonemeal from her. Each Bonemeal will cost you 9 gold.
- After offering the Bonemeal to the altar, your next objective is to head over to Howling Cave, located east of Skingrad. Get inside, prepare for a battle, as you will be facing necromancers in the cave.
Tip: Kill the Necromancers as quickly as possible, or they will summon the dead skeleton around you, making the fight more difficult. If you can withstand their damage, keep attacking the necromancer; killing the necromancer will automatically take out all the summoned skeletons around you.
- Once you have killed all the Necromancers in the cave, go back to Meridia’s Shrine. Interact with the altar to get the Ring of Khajiiti. It comes with the following effects: Chameleon on Self 35% and Fortify Speed on Self 10 pts.
Another great way to go about playing Oblivion Remastered is as a vampire. Check our guide here on how to do that in the game.
