Nine Tails Hideout Entrance Fox Statue Puzzle

Nine Tail Hideout is blocked by a wall with two Fox statues on both sides. In front of the Hideout, you will see four shrines that we can light fire with the help of the torch next to them. Out of all four shrines, only two of them will have a Fox statue resembling the one on the Hideout’s door. So, take the torch and light the shrines with the Fox statue above them to open the Hideout. In my case, the correct shrines to be lit were the nearest one on the left and the farthest one on the right from me, when facing the main puzzle. Once you set the light on two of the shrines, the Hideout door will unlock.
How To Solve Find a Way Forward In NineTails Hideout

Here you will see a wooden door on your left blocking your path. Right in front of the door, you will find four altars, two of which will have a Fox statue on them, and the other two will be empty. Our goal is to find the last two Fox statues in the area and place them on the top of the altar’s empty spots to open the door.
- Location #1: If you look to the left side of the wooden door, near the rocks, you will find the first statue.
- Location #2: The second Fox statue is found next to the black Cauldron, next to the brazier, left of the target practice dummies.
Just grab the statue after interacting with it, and then walk up to the empty altar spot to place it on top.
How To Solve Investigate the Cipher In Nine-Tails Hideout

You must draw a cipher on the scroll found on the back wall of the Hideout. Here, Atsu will interact with a scroll in the room to figure out the cipher by drawing on it. Each symbol will have its own meaning, and Atsu will spell it out once you finish drawing the symbol on the scroll through the touchpad. Once you have drawn the cipher, turn back, and you will see the symbol for ‘Forward’, and a Fox statue right next to it. Interact with the Fox statue to open the door, and you can leave the building.
Find a Way to the Upper Building Fox Statue Puzzle

Here you will come across five Fox statues right along the rock. Each statue has a symbol under it. Make the statue point in the right direction, using the Cipher codes. For example, if the symbol underneath a statue has a square inside a square, then, as per the cipher, it needs to point to the left. Once all the statues are pointing to the right direction, the hidden ladder will unlock and you can make your way to the upper floor.
Search Around the Dye House Fox Statue Puzzle

Once you get inside the house, exit from the back. Now take the stairs on the front, and it will lead you to a new house. Here, you must solve a puzzle to open up the hidden hatch on the ground. If you look to your front, you will see two empty altars, and on the ground, you will see three wooden boards with Nine-Tail Symbols on them. We must place the Fox Statues on the empty altars and then rotate two wooden circular boards on the ground in their respective direction to open up the hatch in the middle.
First, you will find the Fox statues on the ground, on the left side of the room. Interact with both of the statues and place them on the empty altar. Now use the cipher codes to rotate the wooden circular board on the ground in the correct direction.
Search the Holding Cells Fox Statue Puzzle

In the cell area, you will find a large house on your right. In front of the house, you will find four statues, each with a Nine-Tail symbol written under it. The statues here will have the symbol that translates to Death and Engage, and not any directional Nine-Tail symbols.
- Three of the Fox statues will have the symbol for Engage, and one on the right will have the symbol of Death.
- You will also notice that the appearance of the Foxes has a different design on all the statues here. Each one will be in a different position compared to the others.
- In this area, you will also find two separate Fox statues with a Nine-Tailed Symbol on the wall behind them, instead of being written on the altar. The Fox that is lying down will have a Nine-Tailed symbol of right. And the Fox that is in a standing position, it will have the Nine-Tail symbol on the left.
Now go back to the house, and set the Fox that is lying down to the right, and the Fox that is standing, set it to the left.
Find a Way into The Forest Fox Statue Puzzle

Here you will find three Fox statues next to the tree with an empty pillar. Two of the Fox statues will be lying down, and the one in the middle will be lifting its head upwards. Around the tree, you will find shrines that we can use the torch to light up. Each shrine has a Fox statue in a different position. Here, you just need to light the two shrines that have a Fox lying down next to them (Just like the Fox statues next to the tree), and one shrine that has a Fox with its head upwards.
Once you have set fire to all three shrines, the empty pillar next to the statue will open up an Indentation. Place Kitsune’s puzzle Box to find the new route into the forest, behind the tree.
Find a Way Through the Forest Fox Statues Puzzle

Here you will encounter another three rotatable Fox statues. You must align them in the right direction to create a path through the forest.
- Rotate the Fox statue on the left once. Its head will be facing the statue in the middle.
- Move the Fox statue in the middle twice. Its head will be facing the forest behind.
- And lastly, rotate the Fox statue on the right thrice, as its head will be facing the statue in the middle, just like the first Fox statue, on the left.
Once you set them in the right direction, the path through the tree will open up, and you can head inside. This completes all the puzzles that you will come across in this Hideout.
