Should You Kill One-Eye or Galahad in Tainted Grail the Fall of Avalon?

Some choices that you make in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon can have consequences that will follow you for the rest of the game. While completing the Shadow of the Horns quest, you will have a tough choice to make. You should either lean towards killing the Captain and One-Eye, or turn on Galahad and Kamelot. This guide will explain all the choices and outcomes in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.

Shadow of the Horns Choice Guide Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

After retrieving the pin and speaking to the Captain towards the end of the Shadow of the Horns quest, he will require your services in getting rid of Galahad. You can either choose to follow his order, or deny the request and outright kill him. We will explore both choices below.

    Choice 1: Kill Galahad

Galahad can be found in a stronghold that the Captain tells you to go to. You can show Galahad the pin that you found earlier from Caradoc’s tomb, then tell him that the Captain wants him dead. You can either wait to listen to his explanation, or kill him outright. Killing Galahad will turn the entire stronghold hostile, so defeat them all and claim Galahad’s Mace and the Royal Butcher’s Armor set from his corpse later.

Head back to the All Mother’s Temple and speak to the Captain and One-Eye about Galahad’s death. Don’t ask them about the Excalibur just yet when the option arises, as this will fail the quest. Instead, listen to One-Eye, and he will tell you about Sewal’s Crypt located in Sunken Village. You will receive a key for the crypt, so make your way over there and speak to Sewal.

Depending on what you feel about the revelation made by Sewal, you can head back to the temple and speak to the Captain. He will tell you to convince Faerghas to go down the crypt, or you can call off the entire thing as a hoax. If you do the latter, the quest will fail, so choose the option to talk to Faerghas. After sending Faerghas off, speak to the Captain one last time to learn his plan to reunite all the tribes and complete the quest. You can then choose to ask about Excalibur after that.

    Choice 2: Kill One-Eye

While in the cave with Galahad, select the options that say that the Captain wants him dead, and that you don’t want to kill him. Listen to what Galahad has to say, after which make your way to the All Mother’s Temple to carry out the plan to kill One-Eye and the Captain. This option will fail the Shadow of the Horns quest, but you will pick up the Shuffling the Deck quest instead.

Once you reach the temple, you will find it already under attack by Galahad’s army. After the temple is rid of all enemies within, speak to him to learn more about the Ritual of the Keepers. After that, ask him about the new captain for Horns of the South. He will appoint Faerghas as the interim captain, so find Faerghas and tell him about the news to complete the quest.

    Which Option To Pick

Depending on how you felt about your conversation with One-Eye and Galahad, you need to make a choice on who to kill. If you are fine with the way things are running in Kamalot, then you can side with Galahad and get rid of One-Eye and the Captain. This will lock you out of the option of seeing all the tribes reunited as well as exploring Sewal’s Crypt. But, you might get the help of the Elders and Galahad later in the game.

If you wish to see some changes happening in Kamalot and are willing to fight for it, then defeating Galahad is the way to go. The South will be at peace once more, and you get to learn the truth about King Arthur and the Round Table. Although the Captain might still send you out on some shady missions later on, you can see a whole new Kamalot this way.
