The newest Indiana Jones game is a complex world of finding lost treasures, keeping friends, and making enemies. Playing as the renowned archaeologist is just as much fun and thrilling as it was in the movies. There are plenty of puzzles to solve as well, which can take up a large chunk of your gameplay. Once you reach the Vatican, you pick up a mystery quest called Secrets of Secrets. In this guide we have put up all the details on how to solve the puzzle within this quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
How To Start The Secret Of Secrets Quest
You must first collect the priest disguise and Clerical Key from Father Antonio after you reach Vatican City. Next, make your way to the Sistine Chapel and talk to Sister Catherine. She is found on the left side of the Chapel. You can take her photo if you have a camera with you, and that will help you earn more adventure points.
We then have two notes to pick up that contain clues to the puzzle we are going to go up against soon:
- Nicoletti’s Letter, and
- Planetary Chart
Nicoletti’s Letter
Enter the Chapel and make your way towards the very end of the room to find a door on the left. Enter it and pick up the letter on the table to your right and read Nicoletti’s Letter. The letter mentions that the original Secretum Secretorum, along with a note has been left for Indy in the safe, and gives a clue about the combination, which is pretty vague. It asks us to look at the stars and the saints; first to Peter with the key, and then to Paul with the sword.

Planetary Chart
Pick up the Planetary Chart from the desk which has a globe on it, in the center of the of the room. This will have the numbers against a set of symbols. Curiously, there will be a symbol that looks to have been erased out against the number 4. We will keep this information in mind, it will help us when we get down to puzzle cracking.
How To Solve The Secret Of Secrets Puzzle In Indiana Jones & The Great Circle
Solving the Secret of Secrets puzzle involves matching the symbols found on the right statues, to the numbers in the Planetary Note. The number that we get then opens the safe within the room. You can scroll to the end of this section for a quick answer to the code, if you are interested in how to arrive at that code, read on.
Within the room, there are three small statues, and this is where the note comes in handy: the statues that we must check are those of Peter and Paul. Saint Peter’s statue is at the right corner of the room beside the chair, and Saint Paul’s statue is next to the safe. If you turn them over, you will see two symbols underneath each of them.
The symbols on Saint Peter’s statue are not there in the note…which means they are probably the symbol erased out against the number 4. So with that, we have our first two digits: 44! For Saint Paul it is pretty easy, just look at the symbols and match it against the Planetary Chart, and you will get the right answer
Thus, the code to be entered to open the safe and solve the Secret of the Secrets puzzle is 4471.
Inside the safe, you can collect a letter, a forged book, and the Cutman 1 Fitness Book. While the other items are not so much of value, the Cutman book improves the health bar regeneration for Indi.
