All of the over 180+ characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero play differently from each other and have their own combos. On top of that, you also have to keep up with the buttons for dodge, recover, guard, etc. Not to mention, remembering to do your follow-up attacks and dashes as well. It can be a little too much especially for a new player but if you learn how to use Battle Assist in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, you can avoid all of this hassle and focus on learning one thing at a time.

All Battle Assist Settings in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Explained
With so many available settings for Battle Assist in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, it can be confusing to understand what these assists help with.
So, here is a list of Battle Assist settings and their effects in combat:
- Combo Assist: Whenever you miss your combo sequence, the Combo Assist changes your incorrect input to the one required for the combo (changes Square/X to Triangle/Y and vice versa). Can be inconsistent and tends to work worse on some characters than others.
- Follow-up Attack Assist: Automatically adds a follow-up Dash or Teleport attack based on your current position or combo when continuing to press Square/X after combos.
- Dragon Dash Assist: Moving in any given direction for 5 seconds will automatically initiate a Dragon Dash in that direction.
- Dragon Dash Attack Assist: While in a Dragon Dash, automatically does a Dragon Dash Attack when you get within melee range of your opponent.
- Guard Assist: Automatically guards attacks that your character is getting hit by from its front. You can still manually guard attacks from the front and sides but this assist will not work for attacks coming from the side. This can mess up your sidestep dodges as your character will initiate a guard before you can sidestep.
- Recovery Assist: Automatically recovers your character after aerial attacks and ground techs.
- Revenge Counter Assist: Automatically uses a Revenge Counter if possible whenever you are getting hit with a Rush Combo.
