Risk of Rain 2 immerses you in a relentless battle for survival against waves of increasingly difficult enemies. As you navigate through alien landscapes, you can unlock unique characters like Acrid, a toxic survivor. Acrid can do a lot of combat damage and is particularly skilled at using blight and poison effects. Steps To Unlock Acrid In Risk Of Rain 2
Acrid can be unlocked by defeating the nine challenge cells in the Void Fields. The Void Fields can be accessed through a purple portal in a hidden cave beneath the bazaar in the Bazaar Between Time.
The Bazaar Between Time
A Blue Portal that appears next to the Teleporter can be used to enter the Hidden Realm Environment known as The Bazaar Between Time. There are two ways the portal can appear:
- use a Lunar Coin at the new altar.
- wait for it to emerge naturally upon stage creation. A stage has a 25% initial probability of spawning a portal.
The Void Fields
Once you enter the Bazaar you will need to carefully jump down onto metal beams below your starting position Keep dropping one beam at a time until you see a yellowish smoke coming out of an opening. Head in there, a purple portal will be there that will teleport you to the void fields.
Unlocking Acrid: The Nine Void Cell Challenge
After entering the void fields you need to locate the Void Cells. Look for the cells that have a purple light shooting into the sky. After finding a Void Cell activate it. After activating the Cell it will start charging. Stay near the cell, if you go far from it your health will start to chip away. While it’s charging enemies will spawn to attack you, you need to survive and kill the enemies or just survive till the time the cell charges because it will charge regardless of anything.
After it is done charging you will get a random item, after that second cell will appear and the protective area around the cell will vanish and your health will start to chip away. So hurry to the next Void Cell. Repeat this process until you charge the ninth Void Cell. Remember – each round will be tougher than the last, and it takes quite a bit of maneuvering and skills to survive all the nine rounds.
After completing the challenge and surviving the nine Void Cells, you will finally unlock Acrid
Acrid Skills & Abilities
To play Acrid you need to understand his skills and abilities. Acrid specializes in blight and poison effects while delivering substantial damage. His unique abilities allow you to control the battlefield and enemies effectively.
- Passive Poison: Deals 10% of an enemy’s max health over 10 seconds.
- Vicious Wounds: Primary attack inflicts 200% damage; every third hit deals 400%.
- Neurotoxin: Spits toxic bile for 240% damage, poisoning enemies.
- Caustic Leap: Leaps to deal 320% damage, stunning and poisoning enemies, leaving an acid pool.
- Frenzied Leap: Deals 550% damage; cooldown reduces with each enemy hit.
- Epidemic: Spreads poison to up to 20 targets.
