Most Battle Royales do have an option to surrender a match if things are not going in your favor. The same applies to Marvel Rivals too, but whether surrendering proves beneficial or not is up for debate. If you are wondering how to surrender and exit a match, this guide has it all explained for you.

To surrender in Marvel Rivals, bring up the pause menu and check the options to find and click on the Surrender option. This option is available in competitive matches, and once you click it, your teammates will receive a poll. Each member of your team has to vote for or against surrendering, and depending on the majority vote, the game will either end or continue.

Surrendering will immediately end a match and give your team a loss, whereas going against surrendering will continue the match as normal. You cannot surrender during the first match round, but this option is available for subsequent rounds. Also, initiating a surrender is possible once per round per player, and you have to wait for the next match if you have already put out the surrendering poll and failed to gain votes.

    Should You Surrender?

This all boils down to personal preferences, but it is best to not be hasty and click on the surrender option yet. There are times where the tides may roll in your favor unexpectedly, and it is always best to push through the match, even if you feel that you and your team might lose. Surrendering too early will also give you and your team a bad rep, since this looks like an easy way out.

All in all, depending on how things are going, it is only best to keep the surrender option for the very last rounds. If you and your team are completely sure that the round cannot be won and it is a waste of time, then it is best to end the match early and get out of there to start a fresh round.
