Awaken and Reawaken state brings much-needed gameplay changes to the character in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls at the very last minute. Not only do they activate the new transformation for the character but they boost the action speed making the game more engaging. This guide will go through how you can trigger the Reawaken status in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls.
Steps To Trigger The Reawaken Status

Ichigo needs to be in his Banaki state with enough Fighting Spirit to trigger the Reawakening at 0 Health or Konpaku. A reawakening state does exactly what it means, it acts as another chance at the battle with a new form. If you get to the Character Control Guide, under the Awakening section, the process of Reawakening is described as:
A signature Reawakened State for Ichigo Kurosaki (Bankai), activates at 0 Konpaku if you have enough Fighting Spirit for Reawakening.
Here are the steps to activate the Reawaken state in Bleach.
- Trigger the Awakened state: You will see a small progress bar called Evolution or Spirit Gauge next to the health bar to the left, and right under the P1 tag. This bar will continuously rise as you spend time in combat. You can raise the Evolution Gauge by doing damage and taking damage in the game.
- Once the Evolution Gauge is full, the Evolution status will appear below. When you spot the Evolution sign under the Spirit Gauge you can immediately activate the Awakened state by pressing L3+R3 simultaneously.
- When you first reach your Awaken state, the Evolution or Spirit Gauge bar will reset back to zero. As you continue spending your time in combat in the Awakened state, the bar will again begin to reach its full status.
- Once the Spirit Gauge gets full, it will add the feature Sublimation instead of Evolution. Since we are already in the Awakened state, the game will show Sublimation once the bar gets full. Now we are ready to activate the Reawakening state.
- Since we are now in our Awakened state with our Evolution Gauge at high showing the Sublimation status. The final step to our Reawakening state requires our Kombaku or Health to be at 0.
- All you have to do is to get hit by the enemy to trigger the Reawakening state. Once your character gets hit ending the life bar, the Reawakening state will trigger with a cutscene.
Only a few characters are blessed with the Awakening and Reawakening state transformation. The list is limited to:
- Uryū Ishida – Awakening – Ransōtengai and Reawakening – Letzt Stil
- Ichigo Kurosaki – Awakening – Bankai: Tensa Zangetsu and Reawakening – Full Hollowfication
- Sōsuke Aizen – Awakening – Hōgyoku Third Fusion and Reawakening – Hōgyoku Fourth Fusion
- Ulquiorra Cifer – Awakening – Resurrección: Murciélago and Reawakening – Resurrección: Segunda Etapa
Mastering this will also help you go through the game that much faster, and unlock a special hidden 33rd character in Bleach: Rebirth of Souls.
