Once Human, the highly anticipated multi-player survival game has a lot of intricate dynamics that make the overall gaming experience that much more involved – and one such is the ability to lose and gain weight in Once Human. Like in real life, this attribute also has side effects, and getting the right balance on the weight part, suited to your playstyle can make your journey through the game that much more enjoyable. If you are looking for ways to lose and gain weight in Once Human, we have put up the definitive guide on this topic.
What Does Weight In Once Human Do?
Weight in Once Human, apart from impacting the physical appearance of the character, also determines the carrying capacity, movement speed and stamina recovery. You can select either of the three categories during character creation at the Body tab, and the trade-offs for each are as follows:
- <65 kgs:
- Carrying Capacity : 80 kgs
- Melee Attack Speed : +15%
- Melee Damage : -10%
- Max Stamina : +25
- 65 – 85 kgs
- Carrying Capacity : 90 kgs
- Torso Damage Reduction : +10%
- Stamina Recovery Speed : +20%
- >85 kgs
- Carrying Capacity : 100 kgs
- Melee Attack Speed : -10%
- Melee Damage : +15%
- Rolling Speed : -20%
- Weapon Stability : +15
As is easy to imagine – higher the weight, the greater your capacity to wield them strongly and hence they do more melee damage, however the speed of attacks and rolling in combat is lesser due to your higher weight. As against that, at lower weight – you have more stamina and can use your weapon faster, but since you don’t have that much weight to back it up, the damage is lesser. Fortunately, you can tweak your weight to suit your playstyle even after the character creation.
