Ability Items can change the game in Sparking Zero, having the right item equipped on your character can drag you out of a losing battle. Once you get used to the effects of ability rings and how and when to use them, you will be ready to hit online and start raking up numbers. The game balances these Abilities Items by adding some bad with good to make it a fair play for the opponent as well. But the ring in discussion for the article Broly’s Ring is a different breed, here’s a guide to how to get and use Broly’s Ring in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
How To Get Broly’s Ring In Sparking Zero
You either have to summon Porunga or Super Shenron to grant a wish to obtain the Broly’s Ring.
The only way to obtain Broly’s Ring in Sparking Zero is by summoning either Porunga or Super Shenron via all seven Dragon Balls. This means you must collect all Seven Dragon Balls in the game before cleaning the finger for the new ring.
Note: You need to be at Level 20 to obtain Broly’s Ring. You can earn the XP from playing the game or just summon the dragon to ask for a wish to gain XP points to level up quickly.
Here are some of the ways to make farming faster to help you get the ring more quickly.
How To Get Dragon Balls To Summon Super Shenron
If you are looking to summon Super Shenron to obtain Broly’s Ring; the options for getting Dragon Balls are limited to specific choices during the story campaign, or purchasing the Ultimate Edition.
- Story Campaign does offer Dragon Balls, most of the Dragon Balls that you will earn rely on the decisions you make to change the storyline.
- If you do own the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, then you will already have the fullest of Super Shenron’s Dragon Balls from the second you boot up the game.
Note: Super Shenron will only grant us one wish here.
How To Get Dragon Balls To Summon Porunga
You can get Dragon Balls to summon Porunga by participating in tournaments. However, drop rates are not random and it may take a while to get the required number to summon Porunga.
We can also do a little trick to make the farming go even faster. Just change the game rules to tip the odds in your favor by changing match types, preventing characters’ actions, and many more. Basically here will make the game unfair for the offline opponents. Remember drop rates for the dragon balls are not guaranteed after every match, it’s all random.
Match Setting for World Tournament
- Buy Rising Fighting Spirit in the shop. It will have our Ki gauge at full at the start of every battle.
- Now it’s time to hit the World Tournament, go Offline, and then select P1 vs CPU.
- The next thing we do is to change some rules to better our chances of winning.
- Time Limit: 180 seconds
- Reflect Ability Items: On
- Select CPU Level: Weak
- Out-of-Bounds Rules: On
- Battle Rules: Team (Perfect for grinding character level for multiple characters!)
- For player 1 choose Zamasu, and for the opponent choose Hercule. Our objective here is to throw Hercule out of bounds, this will finish the match within the first minute. Having a full Ki gauge fastens the process.
- Just use Zamasu Super Attack ‘Divine Steel Blast’ right out of the gate. It will easily throw Hercule out of bounds.
Finishing the match will give you 1000 Zeni, Character Proficiency, and EXP.
Zamasu seems to be the best choice because of his superattacks. It happens fast and hits like a truck. We like the match to over fast with satisfying results. While other characters do have their Ki fully charged from the start, the attack is slow to execute, lengthening the grind in the process.
Once you have the entire set of dragon balls either for Porunga or Super Shenron, summon the dragon and ask for the Broly’s Ring.
Note: Unlike Super Shenron, Porunga will grant us three wishes.
What Does Broly’s Ring Do In Sparking Zero?
Equipping Broly’s Ring prevents you and your opponent from using Transformations and Fusions during battles.
Let’s assume that you are facing an opponent online who is very fond of Super Saiyan or any sort of transportation ability to hit harder. Having the Broly’s Ring equipped to your character will prevent the opponent from reaching Super Saiyan or any transformation or Fusions move.
Of course, the catch is that it works both ways, so you will also need to rely on pure fighting skills and landing combos perfectly to come out a winner in these battles.
Note: The rule doesn’t apply to Episode battles, since you are not allowed to use Ability Items in the story battles.
Also, remember that the game is a great chance to look at several what-if scenarios and branching paths for key characters. Do check out our guides on branching paths for Piccolo, Vegata and Gohan in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
