Since Throne and Liberty is an MMORPG, it has a lot of features and mechanics for you to discover, and then master. As you work your way towards that perfect build, you may realize that there are certain skills that you are maybe better off without, and others that you would want to quickly get a grip on. Thankfully, the developers have thought through this, and the answer to this is a Skill Conversion Book.
Not only do the Skill Conversion Books help you save time on leveling up a different skill, but you can choose various skills and switch them with an existing skill. However, obtaining the Skill Conversion Book is not the easiest in the game, and that’s why we have put up here a guide on how to get and use Skill Conversion Books in Throne and Liberty.
How To Get Skill Conversion Books In Throne And Liberty
There are two ways to obtain Skill Conversion Books in Throne and Liberty: Zenus’s StarShop and main story quests.
The first and easiest way to get Skill Conversion Books is via the Battle Pass. Head over to Zenus’s Star Shop within the Battle Pass, and you can purchase Skill Conversion Books here. It will cost 250 Star Crystals per Skill Conversion Book, which is a bit pricey when you think about it. But the pros completely outweigh the cons, and it is handy to own a Skill Conversion Book if you are trying to create your ideal character build. You can stack up to max 10 Skill Conversion Books per character.
The second way to get Skill Conversion Books is to play the game and complete quests. Most of the main story quests will reward you with Skill Conversion Books, and by the time you reach endgame, you can utilize the stockpile of books to swap skills.
How To Use Skill Conversion Books In Throne And Liberty
- Go To The Skill Conversion Book in the Inventory, right-click and select ‘Use’. As you do that, it will open up the Weapons Skill interface, with all the Active and Passive skills on your currently equipped weapon.
- When you go to any of the Active Skills, an arrow will appear on the top left of that Active Skill icon, with an option to either ‘Level Up’ or ‘Swap’. Click on Swap.
- This opens up a new tab with all ‘Convertible Skills’ on the right, arranged weapon-wise. Select the skill which you want to upgrade, and then click ‘Skill Swap’. With that, the levels of both skills will get swapped; and the earlier low-level skill that you wanted to upgrade will have the level of the higher-tier skill!
- Of course, you will also lose the skill that was previously at a higher tier, so that becomes effectively useless for you. Hence, select that skill that you are sure you will not be using a lot going ahead.
- In the above image for example, we are using the Arrow Vortex higher-tier skill, and with the Skill Conversion Book, transferring the Rare level 3 tier to the Brutal Arrow skill, which is currently at Uncommon level 1 tier.
This is incredibly useful when:
- you want to use a new skill for the same weapon in place of an existing skill that you have been using.
- you want to try out a completely new weapon and want to transfer the high skill level of a weapon that you have been using, to the skill level of the new weapon.
And with that, you are all set to use Skill Conversion Books in Throne and Liberty to use the weapons and the skills that you want as you approach end game. While you are here, you may also want to look at the Weapon Mastery system in Throne and Liberty to fully come to grips with this gameplay mechanic.
