With each new expansion, there are new upgrades and locations added in Fallout 76. One of the newer locations added in the Wastelanders update lets you explore Vault 79, but you need to get the access code first. Now, to get the code, you need to locate the Mysterious Cave, venture inside, solve the puzzle, and gain access to the elevator that will take you to the vault. The only way you can find this cave is to collect all the Map Fragments as part of a quest

Luckily, things are not as hard as they may look, and you can quickly retrieve the code by following this guide. In this guide, we will see how to find the Mysterious Cave Code in Fallout 76

How To Start The Treasure Unknown Quest In Fallout 76

This quest is tied to the Mysterious Cave and Vault 79, and is an unmarked quest for the time being. When you load into the game server, you will get a mysterious pop-up about receiving an unmarked map fragment. You can check your inventory for the map fragment. Now, make your way to Grafton Station and visit the Pawn Shop here.

Head inside the store and investigate the pile of letters near the entrance. You will notice an Eviction Letter addressed to a certain Falvia Stabo, so you know you are in the right place. Head upstairs, enter the room with several shelves and piles of boxes and go down the flight of stairs within the room. Turn on the Blacklight on the table next to the armchair and investigate the wall in front of you.

There are a few random words on the wall that won’t make sense for now, but they are clues to where the other map fragments are

There are 6 words on the wall that will take you to various locations around the map. Below are all the places you need to go to and find the Map Fragments

Mysterious Cave Location in Fallout 76

Now that you have all the map fragments, make your way back to the Pawn Shop in Grafton Station and head back to the room with the Blacklight. On the wall where the random words were written is a wooden board where you can place all the map fragments. Turn on the Blacklight again and you now have the location of the Mysterious Cave as well as a number code. The code is different for each playthrough, so note it down before you make your way to the Mysterious Cave

The Mysterious Cave is located just north of Beaily Family Cabin. Enter the cave, input the code into the keypad, and head inside the elevator to be taken to the entrance to Vault 79. There isn’t a lot to do here nor is there anything of value to loot, so you can just explore the area and head back out to complete the quest
