Facing the bosses in Hollow Knight Silksong is exhausting, and the Fourth Chorus boss stands out as a particularly daunting challenge. But with a bit of persistence and sheer will, you get to figure out the boss’s moveset and work accordingly. This guide will show you how to defeat the Fourth Chorus with ease.
Fourth Chorus Boss Fight Guide In Hollow Knight Silksong

The Fourth Chorus boss unlocks after completing the Flexile Spines quest in Far Fields. Completing the quest will give you Drifter’s Cloak, a requirement before heading into the boss arena. The boss is located to the left of the Seamstress’s house. Cross over the lava carefully till you reach an elongated platform where the giant spider boss is.
The Fourth Chorus uses a few choice moves, and you need to prepare yourself for its attacks before you start inflicting them back. Below are all the attack moves of the Fourth Chorus to look out for.
- Arm Sweep: One of the bottom two arms of Fourth Chorus will glow, indicating a sweep across the platform. Get ready to jump a split second after you see the arm glowing.
- Arm Slam: One of the top two arms of Fourth Chorus starts to glow, and that arm moves up a bit vertically. This means that the boss is winding up to deliver a vertical Arm Slam on the platform you are standing on. This also breaks the platform, leaving you with less space to move around. This is an easy one to avoid, as the attack is more telegraphed than the Arm Sweep.
- Meteor Shower: The Fourth Chorus starts slamming the ceiling, bringing down flaming fireballs around the arena. This move usually occurs after a stun and lasts for a few seconds. Again, mostly not very difficult to avoid. What worked for me here was to stand exactly below the boss, which turned out to be the best space to avoid the fireballs.
Tips to Beat the Fourth Chorus

- Before stepping into this fight, I strongly recommend that you visit the Forgemaster’s Daughter and purchase the Magma Bell, if you have not already done so. This reduces damage taken from lava and fire.
- Like most bosses in Silksong, being hit by the Fourth Chorus results in losing 2 masks. The boss’s weak points are its head and its hands, but the easiest to hit is its head.
- The Meteor Shower appears after stunning the boss each time. The Magna Bell comes in clutch here if you get hit by them.
- Just after either the Arm Sweep or the Arm Slam is the best time to heal, and just after the Meteor Shower is the best time to land a good number of hits.
- Once the boss has been stunned for the second time, it signals the final round. The platforms start to get narrower, just giving you enough space to stand on either side of the arena.
- There are two ways to kill the boss now: either by consistently hitting its head, or by using the updrafts that appear on either side of the arena to get up to the boulder directly above the boss. Hit the two explosive enemies on either side of the boulder to drop it down and end the fight.
Unlike the Savage Beastfly in Hollow Knight Silksong, you don’t receive any rewards for defeating the Fourth Chorus. Rather, take this as a learning curve in handling your new Drifter’s Cloak ability, helping you navigate the other late-game levels.
