Pals in Palworld are useful for a variety of things – not just helping you out in combat. Pals are useful in completing specific tasks and jobs required for base building as well – and we are here to tell you exactly how to assign specific jobs to pals in Palworld; and taking that much load off your shoulders
How To Assign Specific Jobs To Pals In Palworld
You can assign specific jobs to pals in Palworld by picking them up manually using F on your keyboard or X on your controller and throwing them at the workstation linked to that job. Once done successfully; that pal will have its own Eureka moment with a lightbulb over its head indicating that it has understood what needs to be done.
Similarly, if you want to re-assign some pal already at a job to a different task; simply pick it up from that workstation and throw it to the workstation you want to re-assign the pal to. Depending upon the skills that each Pal has, and the current open jobs; they will find a job to do automatically in case you do not manually assign them to a workbench. You can check whether the Pal is equipped to do a particular job by selecting the Pal from the Party Menu; and looking at the work list on the right side.
How To Fix Pal Can’t Be Assigned A Job Issue
The following are the different possibilities because of which a Pal may not be doing the job it is assigned to; and the fixes for the same:
- The Pal cannot do that Job – e.g.; Smelting, Cooking can only be done by Fire-type pals and hence if you are trying to assign another Pal to do Smelting, it will not work.
- Check the Sanity level for that Pal – if it is too low, they will take breaks and tend to become sick more frequently. Use a Hotspring or a Pal Bed to fix this.
- Ensure the base building happens on as plain a terrain as possible, and it happens in such a way so as not to confuse the Pal AI in terms of charting a path to that workstation
- In case Pals have multiple skills, try assigning a job to a Pal which has only that one skill required for the job.
- Check the priority level for that workstation. If there is a higher priority level workstation, a Pal who can do both will by default go to the higher priority level
The game has been hitting record number of players since its launch, and with further content updates planned; it looks like these numbers will continue to rise higher and higher
