Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade can be a brutal game, and you need all the advantages to make it through the run successfully. The good thing is that the game does provide you with the tools to be able to do just that, one of them being Common Talents that you can upgrade. Here, we take a look at the best Common Talents to upgrade first in the game.

Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade: Best Common Talents

    Talent Page Yasha

You must beat the game once to see all the Common Talents available in the game. We are going to mention all the best skills that will need your attention.

    Flash Step

Effect: Increase Dash Count by 1 bar, making it to 3 Dash bars

Trust me when I say that this talent will save your life countless times. Most of the later bosses have an attack that covers 60% of the battlefield, and having another dash is a godsend. A highly recommended talent to get first before moving on to anything else.

    Terminal Lucidity

    Effect: Adds 1 revive count

Terminal Lucidity will help you gain another chance at the boss or arena fight with a full health revive. You can do two of these, but the second upgrade requires 9999 Soul Power. Receiving only restores your health; it will not influence the boss’s HP. If the boss has lost 40% of its health, the HP bar will stay at that point even after your revival.

    Victory Through Initiative

Effect: Free Skill Orb at the start

When you are starting the game or round, you will get an immediate Free Orb to upgrade your weapon skill. I didn’t pay any attention to this talent until the very end, and only then realised it’s worth. Choose from the variety of weapon skills at your disposal and you will get just that much more damage to make a difference between a successful and an unsuccessful run.

    Cycle of Life

Effect: More Soul Power drop, level 3 takes the percentage drop to 100%.

You have to beat the game once to unlock it, but it’s a very important talent. It will help you gain Soul Power at a faster rate than before. Once you have beaten the game, reset the talents and invest in Cycle of Life. Defeating enemies will give you a healthy amount of Soul Power, helping you unlock other talents in the tree.

    Mighty Strength

    Effect: Increase Weapon Damage

This talent raises overall weapon damage, and you can guess how crucial this talent is to the game. While the first few upgrades will cost around 1000 Soul Power, the later ones demand around 4000 Soul Power. This is steep, but it does elevate the overall damage for all of your weapons by a neat 50%.

    Talent Yasha

    Swift and Decisive

    Effect: Dash damage increase

It is one of the moves that I didn’t feel at first, but later became super reliant on. The combo here is to go from Dash> Light > Light, and lastly ending with a Heavy attack. Compared to a common Light, Light, and Heavy, adding a Dash maneuver increased the damage of the overall combo. Adding various amulet effects amplifies the damage output further.

Tip: Don’t try to perform too many Dash Light attack combos during boss encounters. You need to make sure to have one Dash counter ready to dodge, while you can spend two on performing combos.

    Spring Breeze

Effect: Increase the health recovery rate

Bathing and eating are the only sources of HP recovery when you are running a round. Here, eating a rice cake can offer 30 to 40 HP recovery instantly. Spring Breeze will help increase this number, and that is more than worth it when, after a gruesome battle completed, you see a single rice cake coming out of the shrine after a gruesome battle.

    Iron Wall

    Effect: Defense increase

It raises your overall defense of your character. A solid talent for later playthroughs, when you amplify the difficulty of the game to gain more Soul Power and Weapon Fragments. It is also one of the skills that stays locked behind the game until you beat the game once. Focus on damage dealing and perfecting your parry game before taking this one.

    Ingenuity

    Effect: Weapon Fragment drop increase

Want to upgrade the weapons quicker? Then get Ingenuity to gain weapon fragments in healthy amounts per stage. Since most upgrades and unlocks of weapons need Weapon Fragments and Soul Power, Ingenuity helps you acquire a good number of Weapon Fragments just by clearing a few stages.

    Robus

    Effect: Increase health

It just raises your overall Health Points, you should add the Robus talent on the back of the list. While it is important, it just ups the survivability, and that counts for something, especially in rogue-likes.
