Easter Eggs in the new Citadelle Des Morts map have captured the minds of many to find them out as quickly as can. All the easter eggs contain specific objectives that need to be followed to the highest precision to spot the easter egg. Here we have another fun easter egg where the bell from the bell tower will ring out but that can be done in only a specific way. Steps To Activate The Bell Tower Easter Egg In Citadelle Des Mortes
You complete the Bell Tower Easter Egg by launching yourself through the Cannon and hitting the bell! So get to the Courtyard and make your way to the Cannon in the Village Ramparts. Previously we used the cannon to destroy the castle’s door to get inside. There is another hidden secret tied to the Cannon, it also serves as a quick journey on the map. So how do we activate it?
You will notice, that once you fire the cannon, the crank that we used to rotate the machine will fly off. So we thought the cannon was broken and couldn’t be used again. But there is a way to fix the bad boy up, we can actually track down the crank that flew off the handle. The game does give us an option to repair the cannon to reactivate it again, and we need it working for the Bell Tower Easter Egg. To repair the Cannon, you must first collect a Crank and then a Blow Torch.
Get The Crank
Location: Town Square
Now head all the way south of the map, back to the spawn point in Town Square. You will find the crank in a box next to a banana under the bridge down south. Now that we have the crank, the next thing we are shooting for is to get a blowtorch
Get The Blow Torch
Location: Dining Hall
To get the blow torch, head over to the Dining Hall and move to the northeast corner of the room. Here you will have a light pointing at your screen doing its best to hide the Blow Torch from the player. Go behind the lights on the ground and you will find the torch on the side.
Repairing The Cannon
After we have both the Crank and Blow Torch in our possession, it’s time to put some repairs on our favorite cannon. Interact with the Cannon to install the crank. Once it is installed we are free to use the Cannon any way we want without any worrying about the handle breaking off.
The angle of the cannon decides where we will land once we fire ourselves from the cannon. Rotate the cannon to point to the south of the map, then firing yourself from the Cannon will result in you being instantly launched to the Town Square. You will land on the tavern roof located within the Town Square.
How To Activate The Bell Tower Easter Egg
You have to fire yourself from the cannon 100 times and then it will have you hit the bell on the bell tower instead of the Town Square. Each firing costs 500 Essence, so you must have at least 50,000 Essence to complete the task and reach the easter egg.
Note: If you are playing the game with your friends, they can also partake in the cannon-firing easter egg ritual. If they do invest their Essence into the machine to lunge themselves at the Town Square, it will count toward the Easter Egg progression.
Once you hit the bell tower, it will give out a loud ring that will echo the entire map. You know what that means, more zombies! Prepare for a zombie attack once you have rung the bell. The zombies will keep spawning at a faster rate for around 30 seconds, then it all goes back to normal.
Reward: When you hit the Bell Tower, it will drop two purple items on the ground. They are Cymbal Monkey bombs, perfect to deal with the horde of zombies that will soon come after you.
