The Shattered Space DLC introduces a new interesting storyline with choices along with a new weapon set to make the DLC a brand new experience for the people who are already done with the main campaign. If you haven’t bought Starfield and waiting for a perfect moment to pick it up, then this could be it, as the Shattered Space is one of Bethsda’s unique DLCs they have released so far for a game. Part of the DLC harkens back to the dark brotherhood questline in Elder Scrolls games.

List of All New Weapons In Shattered Space

The game introduces six new weapons for you to try out and see which one works best for you, and these are:

    • Va’ruun Schimaz
    • Va’ruun Quickstrike
    • Va’ruun Longfang
    • Va’ruun Starlash
    • Va’ruun Penumbra
    • Va’ruun Starstorm

Let’s have a look at each of these in detail along with their stats.

    Va’ruun Schimaz | Melee

    DetailsStats
    Physical Damage85
    Weight2.0

Location: Can be looted from Vortex Phantom enemies and you can also find this weapon inside the chest or weapon containers throughout the map.

The one-handed sword does pretty good damage and does fit the environment of the Shattered Space DLC, since you will be participating in many cult-ish activities, having a sword on the back does suit the playstyle and is a great roleplay weapon to work with.

    Va’ruun Quickstrike | Laser Pistol

    DetailsStats
    Energy Damage50
    Fire Rate50
    Range30
    Accuracy69.30%
    Magazine20
    Weight1.80
    Mod Slots6
    Ammo Type1.5KV LZR Cartridge

Location: You will find the Va’ruun Quickstrike by eliminating Vortex Phantom enemies or from chest and weapon racks in the game.

The gun does exactly what its name implies, it shoots fast! The rapid-fire shooting energy rounds as a sidearm will be an effective play in a combat scenario. The low weight and the 50 energy damage (Base Damage) make the weapon appealing in the DLC.

    Va’ruun Longfang | Laser Rifle

    DetailsStats
    Energy Damage52
    Fire Rate75
    Range50
    Accuracy70.20%
    Magazine30
    Weight5.20
    Mod Slots7
    Ammo Type3KV LZR Cartridge

Location: You will find the Va’ruun Longfang by defeating Vortex Phantom enemies, and from containers around the Shattered Space DLC.

A burst fire laser rifle, that does a good amount of damage, if you had to compare, think of it as an Orion but improved in every aspect. If you loved Orion in the main campaign, then you will fall in love with the Longfang.

    Va’ruun Starlash | Laser Rifle

Va’ruun Starlash – Laser Rifle Starfield

    DetailsStats
    Energy Damage168
    Fire Rate20
    Range50
    Accuracy70.70%
    Magazine12
    Weight4.00
    Mod Slots6
    Ammo Type3KV LZR Cartridge

Location: You will find the Va’ruun Starlash in Vortex Phantom enemies and from many chests in Shattered Space DLC.

The fire rate here is abysmal but the damage will make each round worth it. If you are accurate with your aim, then you need to pick the Starlash, it hits like a train but the 20 fire rate (Base Rate) does suppress the urge to spray the laser beams. A proper weapon for a tactical play, the 168 energy damage (Base Damage) translates well on the battlefield.

    Va’ruun Penumbra | Heavy Weapon

    DetailsStats
    Energy Damage150
    Physical Damage50
    Fire Rate12
    Range40
    Accuracy68.60%
    Magazine8
    Weight10
    Mod Slots6
    Ammo Type20mm Particle Rocket

Location: You will find the Va’ruun Penumbra from defeating Vortex Phantom enemies and from the treasure chest and weapon racks.

The gun releases an explosive ball of energy, basically a power fantasy move that does a great amount of damage but it is limited on the fire rate aspect. Since firing the weapon takes time, the Penumbra is set for special moments, coming across a tough enemy or boss fight.

    Va’ruun Starstorm | Heavy Weapon

    DetailsStats
    Energy Damage14
    Physical Damage4
    Fire Rate120
    Range40
    Accuracy53.5%
    Magazine80
    Weight11.40
    Mod Slots6
    Ammo TypeHeavy Particle Fuse

Location: You will find the weapon in Vortex Phantom enemies or from chest and weapon racks.

Everybody likes the mini-gun. The Va’ruun Starstorm is a min-gun that fires later beams at an incredible speed of 120 (Base Rate). Perfect weapon if your cover is blown, and you are planning to shoot your way out of the base. The gun feels incredible to use and it does a good amount of damage against the enemies.

Do The New Guns In DLC Have Any Special Features?

No, there is no rarity or bonus special features attached to the guns. But you are allowed to mod the weapons to work for you, and this will increase the damage twice or thrice the base stat.

You can upgrade the guns to take the stats to a whole new level. Since Shattered Space does introduce quite a bunch of heavy enemies, you need to make sure the guns deal a good amount of damage before moving forth with the main campaign or exploring.

The DLC also features Grenade crafting but you will need to reach a specific point in the DLC to learn Grenade crafting. Grendes are perfect for AOE encounters and also, when you run out of ammo. Head over to any Industrial Workbench to craft the grenade.

Meanwhile, we have been playing the DLC and have covered Zealous Overreach, Conflict of Conviction & Location of all Sirak’s Logs in the game, do check out the guides if you are looking for help on any of these.
