Where to Buy Farm Animals in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar?
You can buy the animals from Ramon’s stall between 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday.
The animal stocks change every week, so make sure to stop at Ramon’s every Saturday to catch something different. When you make a purchase, you will immediately get to name the animal, and it will automatically get sent to the home. If you don’t have a deep wallet, then you can choose to buy baby animals and grow them into adults. Baby animals are a little cheaper compared to the adult version. Unlike adult animals, baby animals will not produce any product. So keep that in mind when you are buying an animal from the shop.
Animal Maintenance
Animals will get sick under stress, and a skull icon will hover over their head to signify their sickness. Here you can buy Animal Medicine from Raul’s shop for 500 Gold. If the animal goes untreated, it will not make it out alive to see the next day. The best way to lower the stress is by keeping the animals well fed, interacting with and brushing them, and not hitting them with tools.
List of All Pets in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

Just like animals, you can also buy pets in the game. The most expensive pet is Little Wolf, which unlocks post-game. Here is the list of pets in the game and their cost:
Pet Names | Cost |
Shiba Inu | 5,000 Gold |
Mixed Cat | 5,000 Gold |
American Shorthair | 6,000 Gold |
Pomeranian | 6,000 Gold |
Siamese Cat | 7,000 Gold |
Labrador Retriever | 7,000 Gold |
Bernese Mountain Dog | 8,000 Gold |
Calico Cat | 8,000 Gold |
Siberian Husky | 9,000 Gold |
Persian Cat | 9,000 Gold |
Horse | 10,000 Gold |
Maine Coon | 10,000 Gold |
Border Collie | 10,000 Gold |
Little Wolf | 50,000 Gold |
You have the option to apply different colors to Mixed Cats and horses. You can also choose between a striped and a non-striped option for a cat. The orange and peach version for the cats unlocks at Year 3; the same goes for the dogs, too.
Pet Maintenance
Pets also have other uses; cats can be used to manage the chickens, while dogs can help you herd cows and sheep. And having a horse around will allow you to fast travel and take part in many unique races in the game. It’s important to note that pets can’t be sold or lost, nor do they get sick and die. But you must feed and train them to perform at their very best. You will lose friendship points if you fail to feed any of the pets. A single can of food can feed up to five pets. You can check the blackboard inside the barn to see friendship and training points for each pet to determine how efficient the pets are at the task given to them.
You can also get treats for the horse; the treats here will cost around 150 Gold. The treat will become available starting Summer 3, Year 2. Just like the pets, if the horse also goes unfed, it will not work efficiently, and you will also lose a good amount of friendship in the process.
Where to Buy Pets in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar?

The ability to purchase pets only gets unlocked after you get your first dog and participate in the Summer Pet competition (Summer 3).
Once you receive your first dog, wait till Saturday and get to Ramon’s stall. Just like the animals, once you make a purchase, you will get to name the pets, and they will be sent to your home. You must check in Ramon’s stall every Saturday to see new stocks, as they change every single week.
You will unlock cats after you own more than four chickens for the farm. Once you have over four cows and sheep (Combined), you will unlock dogs as pets. You will also get access to various species of horses after you obtain your first horse (free of charge) in Summer 2, Year 2. The first horse will be a gift from Ramon, and just like any pets and animals, you will get to name the horse on the spot. And it will automatically be sent to your home. Currently, you are allowed to own nine pets at a time: four cats, four dogs, and a single horse.
How to Train Pets in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaaar?
You will need to use pet treats and training tools to start the training sessions for the pets.
Hold the pet treats in your hand and walk up to the pet to interact with them. Here, you will play a small mini game where you must press the right button in order to make the pet perform tricks. Make sure to get all the buttons right, since you are allowed to train a pet once per day.
You can buy these treats at Miguel’s general store, and each treat is going to cost you 397 Gold. They are not cheap, but they will help you train your pet. Unless you have too much in your hand, the option to buy pet treats will easily put you in debt. The other option for getting pet treats is by farming them. You will need Soybeans and a fish to craft pet treats at the windmill.
Training tools such as Cat Bell and Dog Bone can also be used to train the animals. Once the dog or cat interacts with the training tool, they will receive a good number of training points. You can ride, feed, and brush the horse to gain friendship points with the horse. You also have the option to use Horse Tracks for training the horse to gain training points and friendship points.
Once you train the pets, both dogs and cats will automatically move the livestock without needing the manual input of pushing them. At the start, a single pet will be able to herd one animal, but as they gather training points, they will be able to herd more animals. The Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaaar does reward the care and attention you put into the animal, where every action leads to a fair set of consequences and rewards.
