Path of Exile 2 – 0.3 changes have added major buffs and nerfed some classes and their skills. Some classes got the better of the path. Here, we are going to focus on the best league starter that will use the buffs from the 0.3 patch to deliver solid damage and area clears. We have selected five league starters set to dominate the game in Path of Exile 2.
Best 5 League Starters for Path of Exile 2 (0.3.0 Update)
Here we will go through five league starter builds and the details about the classes to give you a better perspective on how a build is going to play out in Path of Exile 2.
- Lightning Crossbow Deadeye
- Trinity Stormweaver
- Blood Mage Arc
- ED Contagion Lich
- Hollow Palm Amazon
We have also provided a link to every one of the builds for an in-depth check on the gear, gems, and passives.
Lightning Crossbow Deadeye
Why Choose Deadeye?
Deadeye received one nerf to the Avidity node, but it received a significant bonus to most other aspects of the class. The Deflect has been updated to offer a 0 to 100% chance to reduce incoming damage by 40%. Now Called Shots will chain nearby marked targets and constantly cast mark skills on enemies near your location. The new Eagle Eye also applies 20 critical weakness to the mark on the enemy.
Lightning Crossbow Build Details
Here we will take a look at the ds_lily Lightning Crossbow Deadeye build. At the start of the game, shuffle between Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod. Once you level up, Stormcaller Arrow will carry the game. Stormcaller Arrow has a projectile and an explosion; mixing it with Scattershot will cause nothing but devastation on the battlefield. The amazing thing about the arrow is that even if it misses the enemy, it will hit the ground or wall, and you will see an explosion soon after dealing AoE damage.
Trinity Stormweaver

Why Choose Stormweaver?
Stromweaver’s Elemental Storm skill’s cooldown lowered to 3 seconds at all levels from 5. Multiplying Squalls now offers +1 limit for elemental skills. The 0.3 patch has buffed the spells, and elemental infusions play a crucial role in it. And Stormweaver’s Ascendancies generate a lot of free infusion remnants. Getting the remnants will unlock hidden powers in many skills’ gems.
Trinity Stormweaver Build Details:
We highly suggest you take a look at the DEADRABB1T’s Trinity Stormweaver League Starter for a perfect Stormweaver build early on in the game. It’s an elemental build that uses all three elements: Lightning, Fire, and Cold. The build uses Firebolt, Freezing Shards, Spark, Frost Bomb, Flame Wall, and Lightning Bolt at the beginning. It’s all about mixing the skills to output high damage. Frost Bomb‘s cold infusion can help build a supercharged Spark to fire more projectiles. After a certain level, you will need to switch to Fireball for AoE-focused damage and use Orb of Storm‘s Lightning Infusion to supercharge Flame Wall for extra fire and lightning damage.
Blood Mage Arc

Why Choose Blood Mage?
The Life Remnants skill now spawns a remnant on a target’s hit instead of spawning on a critical hit. The Gore Spike passive now grants 1% increase in critical damage bonus per 50 life; it used to be 40. The Sanguine Tides now help you gain 1 life flash charge per 4% life spent, with 50% less life recovery from flashes. Sangunie Tides has great flask sustain, while Sunder the Flesh will open up to elemental build options early on in the game.
Arc Blood Mage Build:
Take a look at the Blood Mage build guide for an in-depth look at the Blood Mage build. Here we will use the combination of Arc and Orb of Storm for the damage dealing, but most of the time Arc will take care of most of the enemies. The 0.3 buffs to Arc have made the spell more than a good choice in the game. It is now a projectile that chains up to 5 to 6 enemies. Adding lightning infusion to the mix will make the attack even more devastating.
ED Contagion Lich

Why Choose Lich?
Incessant Cacophany now grants curses an unlimited duration. The Eldritch Empowerment passive now allows non-channelling spells to deal 30% more damage, and spending energy shield now provides spells to deal 30% more damage and doesn’t interrupt the recharge. The Price of Power passive now produces a spell consume power charge if able to deal 40% more damage.
Contagion Lich Build:
Here we will recommend giving DEADRABB1T’s ED Contagion Lich build a proper look. Essenes Drain with Contagion spreads the debuff, at the same time pairing Dark Effigy with Despair to deliver a single target damage. The build is set to handle mobs of enemies with its Contagion and Essence Drain. Aside from these two spells, we also have Bonestorm for single-target DPS and Unearth to summon the minions to deliver the extra damage. The build also pairs Despair with Dark Effigy for the tankier fights in the game.
Hollow Palm Amazon
Why Choose Amazon?
Amazon’s Critical Strike now ignores Hobble on target, and Elemental Surge passive grants 3 surges upon power, frenzy, or endurance charge consumption (Used to be 2). Amazon is now seen as the best for the Hollow Palm Technique.
Hollow Palm Amazon Build:
Here we will suggest Ignatius’s Hollow Palm Amazon build guide. The build uses Storm Wave with Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ash for the clear. To handle a large group of enemies, the build switches to Ice Strike and pairs it with Tempest Bell. Slap the bell and keep hitting the Storm Wave to clear the area. The mixture of Ice Strike and Tempese Bell also works effectively against the bosses, with the addition of Storm Wave if the bell fails to ring. At the end, the major skills will be Tempest Flurry with Charged Staff. And to handle bosses, the build puts Flicker Strike to deliver astronomical damage with good gear and critical cap.
The Path of Exile 2– 0.3 has opened a Pandora’s box to a long list of solid builds that have already taken advantage of the system. Once more information about the game gets into the hands of the community, we will see more devastating damage guides in the future.
