Since there are so many legendary items in Borderlands 4, it’s quite difficult to filter the best ones from the not so great ones. Each one is equipped with certain perks that can fit one playstyle and completely mess another. Here we have compiled all the best legendaries (Weapons, Shields, and Grenades), and the location of each one of them, to help you blast your way through Borderlands 4.
#1. UAV Grenade

Where to Find: Defeat Mimicron in the Tipping Point Order Bunker located in Idolator’s Noose, Fadefields.
It’s a grenade, but not a normal one. When you throw this grenade, it scans the area and launches 3 strikes against the three enemies in the area. The strike deals elemental damage on impact. The UAV will release small UAVs to strike the targets in the zone, making it one of the perfect legendary grenades in the game.
#2. Barrage Desperate Fireworks Shield
Where to Find: Taking out the Splashzone boss in Coastal Bonescape, Fadefields.
The shield is a godsend, as it allows you to release missiles, hitting all nearby enemies only after a kill. If you kill some minor monsters around the boss arena, you can quickly cover the battlefield with nothing but explosions. Other variations pack in even more missiles and damage dealing, making it one of the deadliest shields in the game. Another good thing about it is that you can get the shield quickly in the game just by beating the early boss.
#3. Aegon’s Dream

Where to Find: Defeat Horace in the Hungering Plain area of the map. Other requirements for the gun include the Down and Outbound story mission.
The best thing about the gun is that it offers two elemental damage types at once; you can fire both Cryo (Ice) and Incendiary (Fire) against enemies. Here you are killing two birds with one stone; the weapon fits in perfectly, bringing both sides of the elemental damage. You might get an alt-fire that increases your fire rate to all sorts of new perks that will make the gun even more handy in the game.
#4. Principal Shield
Where to Find: Defeat Fractis in Crawlcroft Order bunker, located in Grindstone of the Worthy, Carcadia Burn.
It is a one-of-a-kind shield. When the armor breaks, it releases a robot that creates a moving shield in front of you. The shield will block off all the range and melee damage. A perfect item for the early playthrough of the game. You can also pet the robot, but the shield will get destroyed.
#5. Birt’s Bees Weapon

Where to Find: You must defeat Sludgemaw, located in Idolator’s Noose, Fadefields. It also requires the completion of All Charged Up and Null and Void side quests.
If you want to release a swarm of bees at the enemies from close or far away, here you have the perfect legendary that does its job even at a distance. You will also have elemental options for the gun, dealing even more damage to the target. Compared to other guns on the list, it’s a bit of whacky, but in a Borderlands game, the guns fit in well.
#6. Block Buster Grenade
Where to Find: Taking out Vile Lictor in Umbral Foundry in Terminus Range. It’s part of the story mission, His Vile Sanctum.
If you want to have a solid AoE damage grenade, then look no further than Block Buster. The grenades quickly create another set of grenades covering the entire area with nothing but pure explosion. You don’t have to wait an eternity for the grenade to finish charging; it recharges pretty quickly and quickly covers the entire area by creating bouncing pieces.
#7. BugBear Weapon
Where to Find: Defeat the Bio-Thresher Omega in the Fades District, Dominion. Other requirements include: One Gassy Issue and One Slimey Issue side quests.
The gun brings the best out of both sides: the primary fire will explode upon hit, and the second alt-fire will release an air strike from the sky. If you are looking for an Incendiary elemental damage weapon, then the BugBear is your best bet. The Incendiary damage of BugBear will melt the flesh off enemies. And the alt fire is perfect to take out the enemies with a large health bar, while it takes a bit of time to charge up, but the damage it does at the end makes everything worth it.
#8. Tinged Inkling Weapon

Where to Find: Beating The Divisioner in The Wireworks Order Bunker in Terminus Range.
The gun is a nod to Splatoon on Nintendo, it shoots elemental rounds that can create elemental puddles when it lands on the wall or the ground. The projectiles coming out of the gun also bounce on contact, creating a more hazardous place in the area. An enemy stepping on the puddle will be affected by its elemental status effect. The appearance of the gun is another highlight, as it looks heavy and shoots amazingly well.
#9. Hot Slugger Shotgun
Where to Find: Defeat Callous Harbringer of Annihilating Death in Craven’s Nook Order Bunker, Terminus Range, Heart of the Mountain.
This shotgun is a blast, as it deals 30% damage for 10 seconds for a maximum of three stacks. A perfect gun to have as your companion in the early game, through the entry to the mid-game. Even in end-game content, the gun shines with damage and the modifier that stacks up to 3 times, making the overall amount 90%.
#10. Streamer Weapon

Where to Find: Take out The Oppressor in The Killing Floors in Dissected Plateau in FadeFields.
The gun shows up in different elemental touch, and it launches a stationary beam that deals a good deal of damage and inflicts the elemental status when it hits the enemy. You are only tied to shooting one beam; you can just fire away multiple beams at the targets and see the elemental damage inflicted on them.
Other honorable mentions go to Armored Bod, Slippy, Hellfire, Rainbow Vomit, and more. There is quite a healthy lineup of weapons that is borderline fun to play with in Borderlands 4.
