Since Mycopunk requires you to hunt down and kill fungi enemies, you will require weapons at your disposal. One of the best melee weapons the game has to offer is the Carver, a type of chainsaw that can be unlocked early in the game. But, to get the Carver, you need to find all the right resources to help you craft one. This guide will explain how to get the Carver in Mycopunk.
How to Get the Carver in Mycopunk
The Carver is a melee chainsaw that can be unlocked at any level, but it is best to wait till you reach difficulty level 4 and above. To start the process, just follow the steps below.

- Head over to your mission terminal and head over to Titan City. You can pick any level mission here, as long as you are doing it at Titan City.
- Once you are in Titan City, you need to find a lone square building somewhere near the residential area.
- A zipline can take you directly to the building, and you can refer to the image above to know what to look for.
- Head inside the building and interact with the console at the end to activate it. You need to make sure that all members in your party are present before the console is activated.
- The floor ahead will open up and you can jump right in. Follow through with the rest of the path, as the layout is quite linear and you won’t get lost.

- Eventually, you will reach a hole in the wall where two laser abominations will spawn.
- You can either run past them, or kill them to collect some rare loot. At the end of this room is a large door that you can unlock.
- Go through it and you will spot a broken frame of the chainsaw. Collect it, and you will get the broken frame and the server access codes in your inventory.

- Head back to your drop pod to complete the mission and head back to the rig. Over here, head to the very top floor above your spawn point.
- You will spot a door here that you couldn’t unlock earlier, but you can now use the server access codes here.
- Enter it and punch the blue triangle at the end of the path to get a weapon module for the broken frame.
- You need to collect three other parts located in other sections of the world map. You can find one in Gravity Farms, the other in Flourishing Desert, and the final part at Moldy Tundra.

- In Gravity Farms, you need to head over to the location pictured above, which can be found in one of the corners of the local map.
- Hop over the fence between the two buildings and climb up the small hill ahead to get the second weapon module.
- Head back to the rig and visit the Flourishing Desert this time. Make your way towards the fallen spaceship in the middle of the desert, you can’t miss it.
- Once you reach the spaceship, the next weapon module can be found inside the bottom left thruster.

- To get to the thruster, you can either climb right on top of the spaceship and drop down, or try to grapple your way up there.

- Next, make your way to the Moldy Tundra and find a circular building pictured above. You can grapple your way to the very top where the circular disk structure is to find the final module.
- The module is found at the ledge below the bottom circular structure sticking out from the building, it is a bit difficult to get up there let alone get the module, so you need to work on your grapple game to get it.
- Now that you have all the weapon modules for the broken frame, you need to unlock it using various resources.
- You can hover over the modules to know what items you require for the unlocking process.
- Most of these items are pretty easy to get, and you might already have a few materials lying around.

- The hardest material to get is the Saxonite, since you can only get them randomly after completing missions.
- The higher the threat level of a mission, the more your chances of getting Saxonite will increase.
- Increasing swarm intensity will not hamper the chances of getting these resources, so you can set that to low.
- Overtime Assignments, Cleanup Detail, Planetary Defence, and Regulated Rampages are some of the easier missions to pick if you want to farm Saxonite quickly.
- Once you have all the resources, head into your inventory and unlock all the modules. After that, arrange them in a diamond shape within the frame on the left to get the Carver.
Now all that’s left is to equip the Carver on your character and you are good to go. The Carver is a short-ranged melee shotgun that shoots 19 damage pellets at base stats. This weapon can be further upgraded and leveled up, but that is only possible as you keep progressing through the game.
