Getting the T rank in Chapter 3 Deltarune is one of the toughest challenges in the game. It demands you to play perfectly with few mess-ups. Here, you must clear Battles, Points Gained, and Chef Score with two T ranks and one S rank to get the Perfect T rank at the end on the Evaluation page. You don’t have to get T rank on everything; you can mess one with an S rank and gain two T ranks to land perfectly at the end. Here is a complete guide to get the T rank on Chapter 3 in Deltarune.

Getting the T Rank in Evaluation

While Z rank demands you to play the game as poorly as humanly possible, T rank demands you to be the best at Tenna’s Board. You can achieve Z-C-B-A-S-T. S, and finally T rank at the end, on the Evaluation board. Obtaining a T rank won’t be an easy task, and you won’t get any special rewards at the end, just some scenes once you manage to pull it off. In the Evaluation screen, you must have:

    • Battles: Get S rank in one fight and T on the other two to achieve – STT – T Rank
    • Points Gained: Having Points over 1500 – T Rank
    • Chef Score: Requires a Score over 550 – T Rank
      • Secret Bonus: Fourth Key.

Note: Battles are going to be the difficult part of the challenge. Focus on getting an S rank from Battles, and nail a T rank on Chef Score and Points Earned. If the cooking minigame is hard for you, then think about earning a T rank on Battles and Points gained and an S rank on the cooking minigame.

Getting a T Rank in Battles

To get a T rank on Battles in the Evaluation board, you must finish all three fights with either earning T rank on all of them or Sx1 and Tx2 Ranks. The same rule from the Evaluation board also carries over to the battle. Battle results are determined by Turns/ Hurt/ and Tp.

    • Turns: Fewer turns before finishing the fight. – T Rank
    • Hurt: The number of hits you take in the battle. – T Rank
    • TP: Making sure the TP bar is filled above the star. – T Rank

Note: At the end of the combat scene, the game will state the word Ultimate! on Turns, Hurt, and TP when you get rank T on all three factors. The S rank will be visible with the word Perfect. The ranking system also affects the amount of points you will earn from all three fights.

Tip for Lanino and Elnina Duo Fight: Head south from the main pyramid to spot the oasis. Here, drink from the oasis eight times to battle the Lanino and Elnina.

    • You are allowed to take a hit at least two times. Once you reach the 3rd, you are officially out of the T rank.
    • Just hit Act three times and then choose either Rain or Shine.
    • Keep hitting Act and dodge their attack, make sure to have the TP above the star bar.

Note: Resetting the fight doesn’t impact your rank.

When you are fighting the Shadowguys, make sure not to get hit at all, keep the TP bar at 100%, and finish the entire fight in three rounds. During your second encounter with them, you can reach the fourth round to finish them, but you should aim to complete it under three rounds to land on the T rank requirement.

    Earning Points:

Our objective is to earn above 1500 points to earn a T rank. You can earn points by:

    • Completing Battles on S or T rank – That will net you above 700 points.
    • Collect Coins: You will find many gold coins scattered in the area. Just collect them, you will get 10 points per coin.
    • Susie Gains points by lifting weeds and Pots: Hand Power Croissant to Susie to make her automatically pick up weeds and pots to gain points.
    • Bonus Coin Room: After acquiring the Power Croissant, head south and solve the puzzle. Now head south again to access the bonus coin room to gain some extra points.
    • Properly Answer the Quiz Questions – You will get attacked by the two blue monsters, which will start a Quiz minigame. You just have to answer all the questions without making a mistake. We have a fantastic guide helping you nail the answer within the time limit. Defeating the monsters will drop a Q item; pick the item up to add it to your inventory. You will encounter two quiz monsters, help you get two Q items in your inventory.

    Collecting Keys:

While getting three keys opens the door to the Chef’s room, we can acquire a hidden fourth key to get the Secret Bonus.

Key Location #1: After you defeat two quiz monsters, head to the Sphinx Puzzle, and add both Q items into the Sphinx that you received from defeating the quiz monsters. Here you will encounter the third and final quiz question challenge. Answer all the questions to open the path on the left of the Sphinx. Head left, Susie will pick up the pots on the south, making an access to get the first key.

Key Location #2: Head left from the first key, and Susie will remove the pots on the left. Get inside, you will find Lancer trapped in a cactus. Here, stand on the Red button on the right, which will make Susie toss Ralsei at the cactus to save Lancer. Now head south and then move left, here Lancer will pop out and dig a hole next to the water. After digging out rocks, Lancer will dig out a Key for you.

Key Location #3: Get to the location where you recovered the Power Croissant for Susie, head south and left to gain access to the area filled with nothing but cactus. Here,  interact with the blushing cactus in the middle to recover the third key.

Key Location #4: Head to the starting pyramid, get inside the Shop on the left, and make a purchase of the fourth Key for 250 points. Always have more than 1800 points to buy the key and still have over 1500 points left to get the T rank on points.

Hidden Fifth Key: The game has a hidden fifth key, but it is only obtainable if you have already beaten Chapter 3. So you can gain access to the bomb area to retrieve the fifth key.

Unlock the main pyramid next to the Shop by using the keys we gathered. Head inside to start the last minigame.

    Cooking Minigame

In this minigame, you have to feed the special guest with a stack of food to maintain the 5 stars on the board behind you. All the while dodging running fireballs and maintaining the stack.

Here’s what you need to do to beat the minigame without messing up.

    • Dodge the upcoming Fireballs: Jump by pressing X to dodge the fire. Don’t get hit while you’re carrying food over your head
    • Stack the food: You will see food dropping from the ceiling, set your eyes on the top to get all of the food on the plate above your head. Create a stack, don’t worry about the wobbly animation on the food at the top. The bigger the stack, the more points you gain.
    • Feed the consumer: At the bottom, you will see a special guest running around, feeding the stack of food by pressing Z right above them. Make sure to feed them a long stack of food.

Note: You can finish the minigame quickly if you feed too many long stacks of food to consumers without any misses, you will see the cyan color progress bar over the purple color on the board behind the minigame. Once Cyan color over the Purple color reaches the end of the progress bar, the game is over, and you will get the perfect finish.

But it is better not to act quickly; just focus on maintaining the 5 stars on the board. If the purple color bar goes away, it will take the star away from the board. Just focus on maintaining the purple bar.
