Call of Duty’s newest collaboration with the popular Netflix series Squid Games brings a whole new Event Pass with new Operator skins, weapons, and a limited time game mode. Like in the series, you can now participate in the Red Light, Green Light game mode when playing BO6 Zombies. Only here, there is a unique twist, and you will instead face hoards of zombies coming at you while you are at the mercy of Young-hee. The newest Dead Light, Green Light game mode offers some unique twists, and this guide covers how to play this mode in BO6 Zombies.
BO6 Dead Light, Green Light Mode Explained
The rules of this game mode are reminiscent of the actual Red Light, Green Light game from the Squid Games TV Show. You can find this new game mode while loading into the main Zombies multiplayer screen. Since this is a limited time event, you can play this mode till January 24th, 2025. Right now, this mode takes place on the Citadelle Des Morts map, but there is a chance it can appear in Liberty Falls later on. There are three objectives under this mode; Red Light, Green Light, and Dead Light.
How To Play Green Light
To play the game, Young-hee will start with either Red Light or Green Light. If you get Green Light, you will get a notification on top of your screen. This indicates that you can move around the map and hunt down any zombies you come across. Each time you kill a zombie, you get twice the usual amount of Essence. You can also use this time to upgrade your weapons using the Pack-A-Punch machines or collect Perk-A-Colas. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Golden Piggy Banks and pick them up to get 1000 extra credits.
How To Play Red Light
At some point of time during the match, you will get a Red Light notification on top of your screen. When you see that, you should immediately stop in your tracks. Failure to stop moving around during Red Light will make you lose Essence for each second you move. The Essence loss can range anywhere between 100 to 150 initially and increases as you progress.
If you lose all your Essence, you will notice that your HP gets reduced as a consequence. While in Red Light, you need to stand still and hunt down all zombies coming at you. In the later stages, things can get difficult, as more higher-level zombies start to swarm you.
How To Play Dead Light
Now that we have covered the two basic objectives within this mode, there is one final objective left. You will get a notification of Dead Light appearing on your screen. This means that the zombies become enraged, making them stronger than they were on Rampage. The only way to not fail this round is to keep running and stay away from any zombies till the round ends. It is futile to try and kill them, as they have enormous health along with immense strength.
How To Exfil
The Dead Light, Green Light game mode only lasts for 10 rounds, after which you will be forced to exfil. The exfil spot will appear at your spawn point, and you cannot make any progress beyond this point. The only way you can keep playing is to exfil and select this game mode from the Zombies menu again. You can also try using one of the new Squid Game Operator Skins to get bonus XP while playing Dead Light, Green Light.
