Stalcraft X: How To Use A Metal Detector

The newly revamped Starcraft: X MMO takes players back to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where they need to do everything they can to survive. The world is filled with hordes of mutants and anomalies. But that’s not all – you also need to be wary of other players who won’t think twice about gunning you down and running off with all your gear.

Scavenging is a huge part of the game, and with a metal detector, you can find hidden caches with some pretty nice items for you to loot. Problem is – they run out of charge very fast.

Here’s a quick guide on how to use a metal detector in Stalcraft: X to help you hunt down these crates quickly and easily.

How to Use a Metal Detector in Stalcraft: X

To use a metal detector, all you need to do is equip it in your weapon slot. But that won’t give you the best use out of it.

You see running around with a Metal Detector hogging your weapon slot is a quick way to get killed in the game. Furthermore, having it equipped in your weapon slot also drains the charge pretty quickly.

What you want to do instead is have it in your inventory and walk around where you think a hidden Iron Crate cache might be. As long as you have a Metal Detector in your backpack, it will make sound whenever you’re near a cache. The sound and frequency of the noise increase as you get closer to the hidden cache.

Once the beep gets loud enough, now you can equip the Metal Detector in your weapon slot and start searching for it. When you find the cache, click F to interact with it and you’ll dig up an Iron Crate.

Now that you know how to use a Metal Detector the right way, you can start hunting down these Iron Crates. Remember to check out our other guides on the game such as Best Ways To Make Money in Stalcraft : X and How To Use Backpacks in Stalcraft : X.
