SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance has many eye-catching boss fights and collectibles throughout the game. Lab Key is one of the collectibles that unlocks a secret boss fight at the end. You must finish the game and collect all six Lab Keys to encounter the hidden boss battle. Here is our complete guide on finding all Lab Keys and hunting down the final boss in SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance.
Lab Key #1| Fish Market – Freight
Travel to the checkpoint located at the Freight, Fish Market, and then start moving left. Here, jump on the containers and make your way to the area on the other side. Eventually, you will see a tied-up treasure chest in the corner. Hit the chest to receive the Lab Key.
Lab Key #2 | Defeat all 3 ENE Corp Elite Squads
The second key is a bit trickier; you must finish all three elite squads in the mountain to get this key.
- #1 Elite Squad | The Mountain – Waterfalls
Travel to the checkpoint at the Waterfalls, the Mountain, and to your right, you will encounter the first elite squad.
- #2 Elite Squad | The Mountain – Foundry
Make your way to the Foundry checkpoint in the Mountain and jump on the floating platforms on the left to get across to the other side. Here, you will come across a locked door with no way to get inside. But if you look at the wall next to the locked door, it’s white, which makes it climbable. So, climb on the wall to make your way to the hidden room above. Now follow the linear route and take the elevator down to enter the room to encounter the second elite squad.
- #3 Elite Squad | The Mountain – Excavation Site
From the checkpoint at the Excavation site, the Mountain, just move towards the right, and eventually you will come across the third elite squad encounter.
After eliminating all three elite squads, you will receive the Lab Key for all your trouble automatically.
Lab Key #3 | ENE Corp Laboratory – East Lab
Travel to the East Lab checkpoint at ENE Corp Laboratory and then immediately take the moving platform on the right to the upper floor. Here, move to your right, follow the route until you encounter a fork in the road. Now take the path up and follow the route, and then take the elevator. Now it’s all a linear route, and the next few zones will be filled with monsters. Once you are done defeating the monsters, you will come across the tied-up treasure chest. Hit it to get the 3rd Lab Key.
Lab Key #4 | The Assault – Throne Room
From the checkpoint in the Throne Room, The Assault, head towards the doorway on the left. After a while, you will come across the ground filled with spikes. Here, use the climbable walls above to get across to the other side of the room safely. Get inside the doorway to get to the other side. Now take the path directly under you. You can use the grappling hook point on the left to launch yourself at the route underneath.
Now it’s a series of platforming challenges. Make sure to move at the right time, or you will get crushed by the speeding walls. At the end of the route is a treasure chest. Hit it to get the fourth Lab Key.
Lab Key #5 | Defeat Lord Ruse
Requirement: Beating the Game
You will get the fifth key after slaying the final boss, Lord Ruse, in the game. The key is obtainable at the Stage Clear screen.
Lab Key #6 | The Assault – Throne Room
Requirement: You need to have at least 30 Oboro Relics in your possession. You are going to find a bunch of them in your playthrough, as the game contains over 50 Oboro Relics.
The last Lab Key can be purchased for 10000 coins at the shop located in the Throne Room. You must spend the Oboro Relics to unlock new items in the shop twice. The first unlock will cost 10 Oboro Relics, and the next one will cost 20 relics. Then you are going to see the Lab key under the Attacks list in the shop.
Secret Boss Battle ‘Shadow Master’ | ENE Corp Laboratory
Head to the Containment Room checkpoint in ENE Corp Laboratory, take either of the platforms on the side of the checkpoint to get to the lower floor. Now you will have a computer in the middle, and interact with the machine to release the Shadow Master boss.
Rewards: Beating the secret boss Shadow Master will reward you with the Revenge of the Ninja Master Achievement and the Golden Shinobi Outfit.
