Persona 5 Phantom X has many DPS options, but single-target Fire DPS is the crown that goes to Makoto Yuki. Makoto Yuki Build Overview
Makoto can deal with a single-target fire DPS and buff critical damage and personal attacks for the teammates. Compared to other characters, Makoto is the first 5-star single-target fire DPS in the game. Makoto gets Moon Phase when he receives healing, shield, or any buffs. Building up the Moon Phase helps his 3rd skill Scarlet Devouring Blaze, a crushing blow to enemies.
Makoto Yuki Skillset
Active:
- Melodic Blaze: Allows you to deal over 60% fire damage to a single target 3 times. You will gain Moon Phase x2 for two turns, maxing at 4 stacks.
- Moonlit Hymn: A buff of critical damage to all teammates, and you will also receive a personal attack bonus for two turns. The skill also helps you gain two stacks of Moon Phase for two turns, limited to 4 stacks.
- Scarlet Devouring Blaze: Consumes all Moon Phase (Minimum is 2 Stacks) to launch devastating damage to a single enemy.
- Combat Skills: Having around 100 Theurgy Energy, you will deal over 160% fire damage to a single target four times. Here you will gain one stack of Special Moon Phase for two turns, maxing at 4 stacks.
Passives
- Lead: All allies will get an attack of 40% but only after using Theurgy (Ardhanari/ Cadenza).
- Ardhanari focuses on pure damage while Cadenza is a team-based attack buff. Both help gain a Special Moon Phase.
- Trust: Makoto will gain critical damage for two turns after receiving buffs, healing, or shields from his teammates.
Melodic Blaze, Combat Skills, and Scarlet Devouring Blaze are going to be the go-to skills for Makoto. While Moonlit Hymn does hand out good buff, Makoto functions better as a DPS than a supporter. You can definitely choose the Support route, as you will also find a weapon that boosts the support capabilities of Makoto.
Best Weapon Choice for Makoto Yuki
Here, you need to hit for the Deus Xiphos, a 5-Star weapon that will increase the damage-dealing facet of Makoto. The 4-star option focuses on the buffing part of Makoto’s skill. The build here focuses on the damage-dealing aspect of Makoto; choosing Deus Xiphos will enhance the attack power of the character.
Deus Xiphos (5-Star): Raises attack by 30% and critical rate by 16% but when you gain 3 Moon Phase or Special Moon Phase for two turns.
Translucent Blade (4-Star): A four-star weapon that deals 12 to 24% damage, buffing allies will increase all allies’ damage dealing by 8 to 17%.

Revelation Cards For Makoto Yuki
Obsession + Hope:
Obsession increases attack power by 12 (2 Pieces), and having 4 pieces raises the attack power by 25% for three turns when you use Theurgy.
Hope deals skill damage and raises Fire damage by 3% for three turns, a maximum of 8 stacks. Getting to 8 stacks raises the critical rate by 6%.
Optimal Team for Makoto Yuki
- Makoto + Yukari + Wind Vast + Ange: Boost Critical damage and pin rate properties that include additional attack.
- Makoto + Howler + Wind Vast + Phoebe: Here we have switched to Howler and Phoebe. Howler will act as a de-buffer while Phoebe raises the fire damage.
- Makoto + Luce + Howler + Ange: Luce is also a great blessing character with his signature skill, Ensemble of Star, which can raise the main target’s dmg by 12% for two turns.
