Onimusha 2 Remastered has eight necklaces for us to hunt down. Out of eight, four of them are character-specific, and one of them requires us to rely on the RNG game to get it. It can get difficult to hunt all of them down, since the necklaces are intertwined with other objectives or items. Here, we will cover all the items and NPC interactions that you must carry out to obtain the necklace.

All Necklaces in Onimusha 2 Remastered

Here, we have to hunt down 8 necklaces by obtaining specific sites. Each one is equipped with its own unique effect, differentiating from the rest.

    • Orange Necklace
    • White Necklace
    • Green Necklace
    • Red Necklace
    • Purple Necklace
    • Yellow Necklace
    • Blue Necklace
    • Black Necklace

Note: Blue/ Yellow/ Red/ Green requires friendship with certain characters; it’s locked to one per game. You will be locked to a different necklace based on the NPC that you befriended in the game.

How To Get the Orange Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

Items for the Necklace: Chalk, Tale of the Heike, Emblem, and Cantaloupe.
Requirement: Second and Third Visit to Imasho Town
Effect: Allows you to find and absorb hidden Red Souls.

Here, we must obtain a Cantaloupe and hand it over to a specific person on your second visit to Imasho town. You will then receive the necklace on your third visit to the town.

Chalk: After the Gold Mines, on your second visit to Imasho Town, head to the shop on the right, next to the bar. Once inside, you will find a group of people at the back. Talk to the NPC on the left. After a brief conversation, you will receive the item Chalk.

Tale of the Heike: Head outside of the shop and get into the bar right next door. Once inside, talk to the Ekei NPC immediately to your left. Hand him the Chalk, in exchange, you will receive the Tale of the Heike.

Emblem: While inside the bar, just move a bit forward and talk to the Magoichi NPC at the table on the right, next to the stairs.  Hand him the Tale of Heike. After professing his love for books, he will give you an Emblem.

Cantaloupe: Now take the stairs in the room, talk to the man with a knife around the cooking pot, give him the Emblem, and you will get the Cantaloupe.

Now head back to the shop next to the bar and talk to the NPC who gave us the Chalk, and hand him the Cantaloupe. You will not get the necklace right away, on your third visit to Imasho town after the events of Gifu Castle, head inside the same shop. Talk to the new NPC next to the Cantaloupe person, and you will get the orange necklace.

How To Get the White Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

Requirement: First, Second, and Third Visit to Imasho Town.
    Effect: Restores HP while idle.

You will get the White Necklace from the shop next to the bar in Imasho town. But the item will not be up for sale until you fulfill its requirement.

To get the White Necklace, you must buy everything from the shop. Here it gets trickier, on your first, second, and third visit to Imasho Town, the shop will offer different items. So you must buy up everything from the start.

Buy up everything before heading to the Gold mines and Gifu castle, and then after returning from Gifu castle. Some of the items on sale in the shop will not come back. Purchasing all the items in all three visits to Imasho town will help you unlock the White Necklace, as the shopkeeper will hand it over before going back to his hometown.

How To Get the Green Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

Effect: Allows you to spot invisible demon treasure chests.
    Requirement: Friendship with Magoichi

On your second visit to Yagyu Village, Magoichi will give you a Saiga Bomb. Now go back to the place where you received Buraitou, near the Dragon Shrine. Interact with the rocks left of the shrine, and place the Saiga Bomb on the rock to destroy it.

Tip: You can gain a better friendship with Magoichi by handing him specific gifts; not all gifts will be favorable. Here is the list of gifts that get a good favor or increase friendship with Magoichi: Western Boots, Taiheiki, Strategy Book, Sake from Kagu, Pocket Watch, Pirates Costume, Pipe, Pickled Vegetables, Blue Parrot, Black Beer, Ancient Coin or Document, Brown Egg, Conch, Pair Ring, Music Box, Melon, and a few others.

Once the wall is destroyed, you will find a red treasure box; open it to receive the Green Necklace.

How To Get the Red Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

    Requirement: Friendship with Oyu
Effect: More Red Souls from enemies, but blocks out other types of Souls.

The necklace can be found in the Wing of the Oni Sacred Palace, but a few requirements need to be completed beforehand. Your primary friend must be Oyu. After picking up the Circle Key as a Jubel, on your way to the main hall, you will find Oyu at the corner of the corridor.

After a few lines, you will come face to face with two demons from both sides of the corner. Kill both enemies, and then a large bull-headed demon will burst out of the murals at the corner, defeat it, and get inside the hole in the wall. You will find the Red Necklace in the chest.

Tip: Here are the gifts that help you gain better friendship with Oyu: Bouquet, Cameo, Comb, Fish Rice, Fork, Fur Skin, Glass, Golden Chick or Chicken or Egg, Hair Ornament, Hard Boots, Mirror, Music Box, Pair Ring, Phirangi, Scarf, Silver Armor or Coins, and Windbell.

How To Get the Purple Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

Effect: Lowers the magic requirement for Magic attack by one-third.

We will find the Purple Necklace inside the Green Phantom Realm.

    • Get to the eastern part of Gifu Castle, now get to the save point down the stairs. Nearly at the staircase, you will find a treasure chest containing the item Green Wedge. This item acts as a key to get to the Green Phantom Realm.
    • Now open the door across the staircase and head to your left. You will come across a door locked with a strange seal. Equip your Buraitou to destroy the seal and head inside. You will find a strange light coming out of the floor, that’s your way to the phantom realm.

Stand on the spot with the light and use the Green Wedge item. Immediately, you will travel to the Green Phantom Realm. Here, clear out the floors, defeat all the enemies, and you will find the Purple Necklace in the chest at the end of the zone.

How To Get the Yellow Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

    Requirement: Friendship with Ekei.
Effect: Allows you to absorb yellow souls from alive demons.

After using the tornado from the wind weapon to make the elevator work in the Oni Sacred Place. You must use the wind weapon to power the elevator next to the fan. Now, use the elevator to get to the underground section.

Once you are in the Underground area, get to the door at the other end of the hallway. You will find yourself in a room filled with steel containers. After walking a bit, a cutscene will trigger. Once the cutscene is over, defeat the enemy and loot the chest to get the Yellow Necklace.

Tip: Recommended gifts for Ekei: Ashura Garment, Blue Parrot, Broken bell, Caligraphy Kit, Crown, Crystal ball, Folding Fan, Fudo Leg Guard, Fur Skin, Golden Chick or Chicken or Egg, Grilled Fish, Histroy Book #2, Koban, Loaded Dice, Love Potion, Naughty Novel, Pickled Plum, Raw Fish, and few more.

How To Get the Blue Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

    Requirement: Friendship with Kotaro
    Effect: Quickly absorb souls

You will find the Blue Necklace in the Demon Cave, the second zone of the Dark Caverns.

You must get to the Demon Cave, where having friendship with Kotaro will trigger the cutscene where Kotaro chases Oyu. Once the cutscene is over, you will get the Blue Necklace from the chest.

How To Get the Black Necklace In Onimusha 2 Remastered

    Black Necklace Onimusha 2

Effect: Automatic critical hit on every basic attack by sacrificing your health.
    Requirement: Acquire Fossilized Bones x3

You need to collect three Fossilized Bones from Ekei, Magoichi, and Kotaro. Bring the item to the Ancient Bone door located in the Oni Secret Palace, in the Onigashima passages.

Always save your game before giving away the gift. The chances of getting Fossilized Bones from the NPCs are all random. Instead of wasting away the gift, save the game and then hand the gift out to the NPCs. If you didn’t get it, then load the previous save file and try your luck again. Once you get the item, save the game and move on to the next target.

You will find Ekei and Magoichi in the bar next to the shop in Imasho town. Kotaro can be found on the second floor of the bar. Here is the list of appropriate gifts for each character for the Fossilized Bone drop.
