Best Heartseeker Marksman Build In Last Epoch
The Heartseeker is one of the newer skills added to Season 2, but it requires a bow to utilize it. Hence why the Heartseeker Marksman is a great build to have for late game. Besides weapon damage, this build also deals spell and throwing damage, making it a highly versatile one to suit all playstyles. You need to assign the right skills and abilities to make this build even tankier, and we will explain the best build setup below.
Best Skills

Heartseeker
This should be your main skill that will do all the damage for you. Unlock Molten Firestorm as fast as possible to convert Heartseeker’s physical damage to fire. While you can stop here, you can further improve upon this by unlocking Burning Daggers and Blades of the Pyre, but this will suck up a lot of mana. You should have Heartdrain unlocked alongside so you can utilize the two skills. You can increase Bow damage by unlocking and assigning 3 skill points in Bone Piercer, and you should have Nimble Treads to increase Recurve scaling.
Shift
For movement, use Shift alongside Shadowslip and Momentum to increase your movement speed and provide invulnerability. Also have Molting to cleanse all status elements on you whenever you apply Shift. You can additionally add Shurikens here, or unlock it as another skill.
Shurikens
Whenever you apply Shift, you get a dash movement when Shurikens is active. Bladed Armor also works well here, as it applies an armor buff for each Shuriken spinning around. You can follow that up with Stagger to lock down enemies, and also unlock Ethereal Blades so the Shurikens can cause piercing damage.
Smoke Bomb
Smoke Bomb will be your defense skill, as it can grant haste and blind enemies while you are inside it. Moonlight Shroud stacks a Silver Shroud during the initial burst, which grants you the ability to dodge the next hit. Follow that with Cleansing Steam to cleans all negative status ailments.
Best Passives

For the Heartseeker Marksman, you will require passives that will enhance the durability and damage output of your weapon and skills. Below are the passives you should definitely unlock soon.
- Draining Arrows
- Perfect Aim
- Sharpshooter
- Death from Afar
- Master Archer
Best Gear
Marksmen should equip the Dragonsong and improve it to legendary to utilize its full potential. Follow that up with Peak of the Mountain to increase your critical hit chance. Mourningfrost can stack with dexterity to increase damage, while Ucenui’s Sphere can cause cold and lightning resistance as well as damage. For amulets, use either Pearls of the Swine, Nihilis, or Omnis. Ravenous Void can provide extra damage reduction, and you can pair that with the Red Ring of Atlaria. Have the Throne of Ambition to increase fire and cold damage as well as provide more armor per stack.
For Blessings, go for the following to gain offensive and defensive buffs.
- Grand Emptiness of Ash
- Grand Might of the Sea
- Grand Embers of Immortality
- Protection of Heorot
- Grand Survival of Might
Heartseeker Marksman Gameplay

This build focuses more on survivability while also providing enough damage to consider this as a tankier build. The uniqueness of this build is that you can move while dealing damage, and the faster you get around the arena, the better your chances will be to tackle all enemies. If you wish, you can add Decoy to one of the skills, and you can create a distraction when it comes to higher-level enemies and bosses.
To win your battles, start off with the Smoke Bomb and receive its buffs while inside. Then, combine Shift with either Heartseeker or Shurikens, depending on what sort of buffs you are going for further. Keep a check on your Mana if you are using Burning Daggers with the Heartseeker. This skill and Dragonfire can continue to deal damage even after you have stopped hitting the attack key, so it is crucial that you keep moving around and clearing out enemies. Utilize Silver Shroud to gain protection against the first hit.
