Unlocking Chef In Risk Of Rain 2 Seekers Of The Storm
Before anything else, you need to make sure you have enabled the Seekers of the Storm DLC in the Character Menu on your version of Risk of Rain 2. Once this task has been done, you need to be ready with three specific ingredients to craft Chef:
- Cautious Slug
- Bison Steak
- Infusion
You can easily get your hands on these items on the first and second stages of the RoR2 map. Once you have collected these ingredients you need to cook them in the new Reformed Altar to craft Chef. But before that, you need to head to the Halcyon Shrine, pray to the deity, activate it, and take down some bosses.
Steps To Unlock Chef In Risk Of Rain 2 Seekers Of The Storm
In the first stage of the map in Risk of Rain 2, find the Halcyon Shrine. Once you have spotted this green stoned shrine, interact with its pillar:
- Interacting with the pillar of the Halcyon Shrine will activate the shrine by consuming your gold reserves.
- Once, you have activated the shrine, you will be surrounded by enemies. After about 200 of your gold reserves have been depleted by the shrine, a boss will spawn. You need to engage with this boss and defeat it to unlock a green portal which is the entry point to Reformed Altar.
- Enter the Reformed Altar through the green portal, and navigate your way to the left to find a small cave. This area is located towards the left of the throne room. You will find an altar at the end of the cave with three slots.
- Now, place the Infusion, Cautious Slug, and Bison Steak into the vacant slots of the altar to craft Chef.
Is Unlocking Chef Worth It In Risk Of Rain 2?
Chef is a returning character from Risk of Rain known for his versatile attack skills and ability to create powerful meals. In the Seekers of the Storm DLC, Chef offers the following skills at your disposal:
- Chef’s Kiss: This lets the Chef kill enemies with over two skills and cook them up to craft a healing food item.
- Dice: This move enables Chef to throw a cleaver through an enemy while inflicting 250% damage at the initial blow and 375% damage at a returning blow.
- Sear: This move enables the Chef to scorch nearby enemies while dealing 600% damage. Glazed enemies become more susceptible to future attacks, taking 75% additional damage.
- Roll: Chef uses a rolling pin to speed up while inflicting between 500% to 800% damage on the enemies hit in the process. This move also stuns the enemies that are hit.
- Glaze: Through this move, Chef throws globs of fire with oil dealing 7×200% damage to the enemies. That’s not all, this attack also results in slowing down and weakening the enemies that are hit by the globs.
