In Once Human, Whim refers to any status effect or buffs that your character has. It can refer to both positive buffs that add more damage or carry weight or even negative effects such as decreased melee damage or movement speed. So, with that said, Whim Potions are special potions that you can use to apply positive buffs to your character in the game.
In this guide, we’ll discuss how you can get Whim Potions in Once Human to boost your character’s performance and abilities. Let’s dive in!
Where To Get Whim Potions In Once Human
There are three different ways for you to get Whim Potions in Once Human
Crafting Whim Potions Using Deviants
Different Deviants have different jobs in Once Human. Some of them stay in your territory and boost your production efficiency; some you can take along with you on missions, and some stay in your base and craft special materials for you.
To craft a Whim Potion, you’ll need a crafting Deviant like Harveseed, Discoball, or Frog the Leaper. Have them stored in the Isolated Securement Unit while you go out, and they’ll produce some special crafting materials for you. Once you get back, collect these materials and head to your supplies bench. You’ll get the option to produce a Whim Potion using Acid and Glass.
The type of Whim Potion you get will depend on the crafting Deviant that you put to work. The special crafting material from Frog the Leaper, for instance, lets you make the Silver Spring potion. Consuming it lets you jump higher with a bit more energy cost.
Getting Whim Potions From The Battle Pass
Progressing through the different tiers in the seasonal Battle Pass can also often reward you with different Whim Potions. Right now, you can get the Featherweight and Chloro Armor as rewards from the Battle Pass simply by playing through the game. Here’s how they affect your character:
- Featherweight: Increases the maximum carry capacity for your character
- Chloro Armor: When health drops below 20%, recover 100% of your HP over five seconds.
Unlocking And Crafting Jump Booster
By unlocking a perk in your Memetic Specialization tree, you gain the ability to craft a specific Whim Potion called Jump Booster. Once you unlock the skill, you can craft this potion in your Supplies Bench.
The buffs from Whim Potions can stack on top of the normal buffs you have on your character, making them extremely powerful in certain situations. For more tips and tricks on the game, make sure you check out our other guides like How To Get The Lonewolf’s Whisper and How To Fish.
