The Feyworld Expansion is a gift that keeps on giving, it has added many new legendary armors and weapons and at the same time new materials to make our journey that much more rewarding. Dark Fragment is one of the many uncommon but useful materials on Feybreak Island, and this guide goes through everything you need to know about the Dark Fragment, where to find and how to use them.
Best Places To Get Dark Fragments
The Emberstone Plateau, and The Oculus Gate are your best bets to farm Dark-Elemental pals to get the Dark Fragments. Dark Fragments only drop from Dark-Elemental Pals, and these are not guaranteed drops – they have a RNG factor, and hence will take up some of your time farming to get the required number of Dark Fragments.
Also, another thing to keep in mind is that we have to look for Dark-Elemental pals on Feybreak Island. The dark-elemental pals found in other regions of the main game will not drop the Dark Fragments.
- Hit every dungeon and you might face some bosses or predators that might drop Dark Fragments after they get eliminated.
- In Emberstone Plateau make your way south of the region, The rocky terrain is home to plenty of Dark-Elemental Pals. Take them out to find some Dark Fragment drops.
- The south of The Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight is another good place to farm for Dark-Elemental Pals to drop Dark Fragments.
Tip: Use the fast travel section to reset the zone to farm the fragments again without waiting a long time.
The Best Dark-Elemental Enemies To Farm For Dark Fragments
Some enemies will drop more Dark Fragments than the other. Here are some notable enemies that drop a good amount of fragments.
- Splatterina – Look out for these, as they will drop 2 to 3 Dark Fragments.
- Omascul and Starryon – You might get 1 to 2 Dark Fragments from them.
- Bosses such as Splatterina or Rampaging Splatterina might drop 2 to 3 Dark Fragments.
