How To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors Origins

Dynasty Warriors Origins offers more than just braving it out on the battlegrounds of China. While combat is one of the key components of the game, you can also make your hero stronger by crafting items, purchasing new weapons, and modifying them. One of the rarer elements to get in the game is Pyroxene, but it is crucial to collect it so it can help you in crafting and upgrading Gems. While this resource is hard to come by, you need to collect enough of it so you can unlock the Pyroxene Hunter achievement. In this guide we will show you how to unlock this achievement as well as how to get and use Pyroxene in Dynasty Warriors Origins.

Pyroxene is one of the earliest elements you can gather while you are out on your exploration. You can start finding Pyroxene nodes as early as Chapter 1, right after the tutorial. You have to keep an eye out for brightly colored orange ores sticking out from the ground while you explore the map, and to pick it up you can just interact with it. These nodes spawn randomly, and the only way to not miss sight of them is to activate the Eyes of the Sacred Bird when you have unlocked it. That way, you get a birds eye view of the entire map layout and all the Pyroxene nodes nearby.

Other ways to get Pyroxene is to check your nearby locations after completing missions and battles, as you will find a node or two right after. You might encounter more of them as you keep going through with the storyline. You can also exchange Old Coins at the store in Shui Jing Retreat and collect 30* Pyroxene this way. You might also get Pyroxene as a reward from missions and Requests, and you can also find them when you receive Letters. To get the Pyroxene Hunter achievement, you need to collect 100 Pyroxene, which is easier to do now that you know where to look.

Pyroxene is one of the main components required in crafting Gems. If you visit any Inn during your exploration, you can find the Gems tab on the left. Once you head into the Craft Gems menu, you can find the number of Pyroxene you own on the left, and the Gems you own on the right. For every 1 Pyroxene you use, you can get 1 Gem. The Gem that you get is random, and you might get a chance to craft a new Gem, or add the same Gem to any of the existing Gems you already own. This way, you can level up your existing Gems and get boosts, or create an entirely new Gem with new stats for your character.

If you want to be sure of the Gems you do get instead of getting a random Gem, then you need to wait till you get a particular message pop up on your Gem Crafting menu. The message will typically read that you have “seen a light in the pyroxene”. If you spot this message, then you will also see that certain existing Gems on the list will be highlighted, meaning that if you use your Pyroxene now, you are guaranteed to get the highlighted Gems as your output.
