Want to equip some steel armor for protection or maybe craft some steel bullets in Once Human? The main crafting material you’ll need is Iron Ore, which is pretty difficult to farm early on. There is only one location in Once Human where you’ll find this precious crafting resource in abundance.

In this article, we’ll show you the exact spot where you need to go to get as much Iron Ore in Once Human as you need. Let’s get started.

In Once Human, the only spot where Iron Ore is in good supply is near the rivers in the Iron River region, north of the Dayton Wetlands.

For the easiest farm, go to the coordinates (6198,-3432). Once you arrive here, you’ll see a lake with plenty of Iron Ore on its shore that you can harvest. Since these ores spawn quickly, you can loop around the banks to pick up all the Iron Ore you need for your crafting requirements.

Iron River is a mid/late-game region with a recommended character level of 28. So if you plan on beelining straight for it to farm up some Iron Ore for yourself, it’s not a wise idea. Instead, we recommend farming up and making your character stronger before you decide to tackle this difficult area.

To mine Iron Ore in Once Human, you’ll also need a Pickaxe. Since it’s a difficult area, we recommend crafting a Bronze Pickaxe and bringing it with you if you plan on using this farming spot. Also, make sure you’ve got enough inventory space to carry all the ores you picked up back to your base.

You’ll need to unlock Bronze Crafting from your Memetics menu to craft a Bronze Pickaxe. If you’ve got the skill unlocked, you’ll need the following resources to make it:

    • Raw Hide * 1
    • Logs * 5
    • Bronze Ingots * 7

Alternatively, you can use a Solar Auto Drill to mine Iron Ore faster. To unlock Solar Auto Drill, you’ll need to first get the Advanced Drill Memetic skill under the Infrastructure tab. To craft a Solar Auto Drill, you’ll need 40 Tungsten Ingots.

Once you have all the Iron Ore you need, return to your base and use your Furnace to turn them into Ingots. You can now use them as crafting materials for different recipes in the game.

That brings us to the end of this article. Check out our other Once Human guides for more help, such as Everything On Incendiary Blast and How To Purify Your Territory.
