A new era of Helldivers is upon Super Earth, an era where the restrictions of flame-throwing weapons are gone, allowing even secondary weapons like the P-72 Crisper in Helldivers 2 to burn the Terminid scum to ashes. If you need a pocket-sized solution to burn down hordes of Terminid bugs, here is how you can unlock and use the P-73 Crisper in Helldivers 2.

The P-72 Crisper can be unlocked for 45 Medals on Page 3 of the Freedom’s Flame Warbond which costs 1,000 Super Credits. Reaching Page 3 will require you to spend 230 Medals on the previous pages, so you will require 275 Medals in total to get the P-72 Crisper in Helldivers 2.

This weapon will require the most amount of grinding in the Freedom’s Flame Warbond. Even if you gathered the max of 250 Medals before the Warbond dropped, you will still have to grind quite a few Medals to unlock the P-72 Crisper.

If you fight Automatons for the majority of your missions, you should completely avoid unlocking this weapon as its usefulness falls drastically against the machines. But against the Terminid, the P-72 Crisper is likely going to be the new best secondary.

How To Use the P-72 Crisper Effectively in Helldivers 2

The P-72 Crisper is one of the best most powerful secondary weapons when fighting Terminids. It is pretty much a one-handed pocket flame thrower that only really falls short when it comes to ammo which is still understandable considering it is a secondary. Use this weapon to bring down hordes of smaller enemies. It is very effective in taking down groups of Hunters or when fighting against the new Alpha Commanders that spawn multiple smaller enemies.

If you also have the Flam-66 Torcher unlocked, I advise not using it if you are going to use the Crisper as your secondary. Instead, the Crisper is best used in combination with a stronger and slower primary weapon that excels in taking out heavier enemies like the R-36 Eruptor because the P-72 Crisper in Helldivers 2 can easily handle the smaller horde enemies making it the best weapon from the Freedom’s Flame Warbond.
