How to Complete the Omath Breach in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4 season 5, fans of the game were treated to a couple of new and exciting quests that they can play through to earn some exciting rewards. The Past Behind Us is one of the more interesting quests that came with the seasonal update, where you need to clear Omath Breach at one point. In this guide, we’ll give you a complete guide on how to complete Omath Breach in Diablo 4 to help you move on with the quest. Let’s get started.

Clearing Omath Breach in Diablo 4

The Omath Breach isn’t an exact spot on the map in Diablo IV season 5. It’s a Hellbreach Dungeon that’s in Omath’s Redoubt Stronghold. The stronghold is located southeast of Kehjistan.

There are three main steps to completing the Omath Breach:

    • Going to the Omath Breach Hellbreach Dungeon.
    • Earning Burning Aether by Destroying Soulspires
    • Choosing A Challenge

As we mentioned earlier, the first step is to get to the Omath Breach dungeon. Open your map and travel to Omath’s Redoubt. It’s in the Kehijstan region right next to Fields of Haterd. A quick look at your map should tell you where you need to go.

    Earning Burning Aether

Like any other Hellbreaches, you’ll need to destroy Soulspires to collect Burning Eather. You’ll need to collect 5 Burning Aether in total to move on to the second room.

    Choose a Challange

Once you collect 5 Burning Aether from the first room, you’ll be able to pick a challenge. Basically, you’ll have a set of modifiers to choose from, and the rewards for different challenges will be different. So go with a challenge that seems worth the grind, clear it, and get your reward.

Repeat the steps mentioned above in the second room until you get to the boss. Some challenges and modifiers that you picked up earlier can make the boss fight extremely trivial. Like the other rooms in the Hellbreach Dungeon, you’ll still face hordes of enemies. Button-mashing your way through isn’t going to work here.

Instead, you need to bide your time and strategize with well-timed healing potions and resources. After you defeat the boss, you’ll find a chest that you can open using the 5 Burning Aethers that you picked up before. You’ll also see a second chest, which costs 20 Burning Aethers.

If you’ve got enough Aethers saved up, opening the second chest is the better choice. Once that’s done, you can return to Istel and move on to the next quest in Diablo IV season 5.
