Grub Stompin’ quest in WoW follows a simple task of stomping six grubs. These purple creatures do stick out on the map, and you can easily find them sliding around the area. While locating the grub farming spot is easier but farming then could get difficult. Here is a guide to complete the Grub Stompin’ quest and discuss many of the problems with the quest progression.
Quest Overview

Quest: Grub Stompin’
Objective: Stomp 6 Void-touched grubs
Time: 3 Days
All we need to do is find 6 Void-touched grubs roaming spots and stomp 6 of them to complete the quest.
Head to the southwest of North Sufaad to find plenty of Void-touched grubs running around the area. These are purple slimy creatures; they usually hang around Void-touched Hoppers. Unlike Hoppers, the grubs are very small, lacking legs to run around.
When you find these grubs staying idle or sliding around slowly, just click on them and hold to stomp them out. You will see a stomp progression bar as you click on these grubs. Filling up the progression bar will stomp the grubs, and it will get counted on the quest progression.
A Few Problems with the Quest
You need to carry out this activity 6 times to complete the quest. While it might sound easy, it could get a bit difficult to get all of them.
- Low Spawn Rate: One of the irritating problems with the quest happens to be the spawn rate of the grubs, which is also very low, and you can’t use the same stomp spot again.
- No Share Progression: If you join a group to complete this quest, you will not be able to complete it. When a group member stomps a grub, it will not get counted in your quest progression. So even if you are part of a group, you must seek out the grubs and stomp them to get the credit.
- Too Many Players: You will also have to deal with too many players doing the same thing as you; you must be faster than they are to get the grubs under your boot.
An update might be on its way to fix many of the issues surrounding the quest. But if you want to complete it in the current state, you have to deal with the problems listed above.
