In Grounded 2, there are a handful of quest objectives to complete so you get to learn more about your new world. Some tasks are quite a handful, such as trying to reach the top of the Garbage Bin to get to the O.R.C. Transmitter. Before you go ahead with this quest, you will require some proper gear and equipment to prepare yourself.
How to Craft a Gas Mask in Grounded 2

Your first line of business is to get a gas mask before venturing out to the putrid region where the Garbage Bin is. To craft the Gas Mask, you will require the following items.
- 1x Weevil Nose
- 4x Gnat Fuzz
- 2x Crude Rope
- 1x Stinkbug Part
Gnat Fuzz is obtained by hitting Gnats found flying over puddles and smaller water bodies. They are found at the starting location of the game, so it is possible to get them quite early. Weevils are also found in the early game location, and they are spotted crawling on the ground. The only problem with getting a Weevil Nose is that this item is an extremely rare drop, so you have to hunt a bunch of Weevils to get it.
As for the Stinkbug part, make your way to the southeast corner of the Entrance zone, near the pile of garbage. There will be one Stinkbug spawn here, kill it to get its part. Crude Rope is crafted at the crafting station. You will require 3x Plant Fiber to craft one Crude Rope. Analyze each part that you have collected so far at the Resource Analyzer to get the prompt to build a Gas Mask, then craft the Gas Mask at the crafting station.

Climb the Garbage Bin

The Garbage Bin is located in the southeast section of the Entrance area. You will spot a pile of trash here, and right in the middle of it is the garbage bin. Equip your gas mask and run around the bin till you find a path that goes upwards. Keep going up till you come across an old hot dog, then go around that, and you will find a root stump sticking out towards the garbage bin.

Go across and head left a bit, then turn around to find a plastic spoon leading upwards. Continue your climb till you reach the rim of the bin. Go around it to find a pathway leading up, and soon you will reach the top of the bin. There will be an eaten apple blocking your way; a Level 2 Axe will take care of that.
You will spot some cockroaches blocking your way towards the transmitter; either kill them or run close to the transmitter, then escape. Either way, the quest will be marked as completed, and continue with the rest of your journey.
