Dynasty Warriors Origins has you making some tough choices when it comes to choosing potential allies or foes. These decisions also matter, as the only way to get the true endings of the game is to save heroes during certain battles. While trying to work towards the true ending, you must save Sun Ce and stop him from meeting his demise. In this guide we tell you exactly how to do just that.
How To Save Sun Ce In Dynasty Warriors Origins
You will get the task of saving Sun Ce during the Suppression of Wu in Chapter 4. In this battle, Sun Ce’s forces will be up against the Rebel Forces, and you need to defeat all the Rebel Forces officers while keeping Sun Ce alive. This requires a bit of strategy, as you will be on a time limit to reach Sun Ce and protect him before the Rebel officers do.
As soon as you load into the battlefield, you can straightaway head over to the central base in the north while ignoring the initial base. Or you can clear the first base that you encounter while traveling north, but we recommend you do that only if you think you can be fast enough to clear the rest of the battle. Remember that time should be on your side, so ignoring the smaller bases can help you complete the battle quicker.
Take Over the Central Bases and Save Sun Quan
After clearing the first central base, head northeast and take over the base here too, then travel west to take over the second central base. By now you will get an indicator that Sun Quan is under attack. Quickly head south towards Sun Quan and help defeat the army. During this time, Sun Ce will be advancing towards the west central base. After helping out Sun Quan, head directly east and defeat the oncoming enemy troops.
Defeat the Rebels
By now, Sun Ce will successfully take over the western base. Once you have cleared out all enemy troops in these designated spots, head over to Sun Ce’s camp and bypass him to get into the forest first. If Sun Ce heads into the forest before you, he will get lost and ultimately killed. Quickly enter the forest in the west and keep heading west till you reach a dead end, then go south. You will soon reach the Rebel base, where you fight the mini-boss, Yan Baihu. Defeat him with Assault whenever it pops up so you can get rid of him faster.
Defeat Bailuan
After you are done, you need to find a hidden tunnel in the forest. Head a bit north while keeping to the west. You will notice an opening that is obscured by the tree branches. If you can’t see it, use the Eyes of the Sacred Bird to find it. After entering the tunnel, head south to find the main boss, Bailuan. The fight with Bailuan will be difficult, so bring a companion with you if you wish. Phantom guards will appear to fight you, so if you haven’t used your guards yet, now is the best time to bring them for the fight. Utilize your best Battle Arts for this fight and keep an eye on Bailuan at all times.
Work your way through the fight with Bailuan, and once he is defeated, exit the secret tunnel. You will get a new message on your screen that says Fate Altered, and a new special cutscene with Sun Ce. This concludes the battle, and you can continue with the rest of the questline as normal.
